The concept Bulli had originally been shown as a six seater car with an electric engine but we hear the production model will be a five seater featuring a conventional engine. It’s believed that production will begin at the Volkswagen plant in Puebla, Mexico and is rumoured to launch in 2014.

The concept car features the original two tone paint colouring that pays homage to the original samba bus and even has the distinctive ‘V’ on the front bonnet as well as 18-inch alloy wheels and chrome hubcaps.

It was also shown with a removable iPad in the center console that serves as a multifunctional touch screen which we are hoping they will retain in the production model too.

The interior also comes with changes, which includes a more bogged down driving position. The new instrument panel and center console have been further inclined towards the driver. That makes us think of a sports car.

The Golf variant will not confine to the stereotype, we hear. It will come across as a bulkier and aggressive 5-seater people-mover. May be the variant could give that can match up to the Ford C-Max.

The next generation VW golf is expected to hit roads by mid 2012.

Meanwhile, we also hear that VW is also planning a 3-door edition which would be distinct and stylish than the 5-door variant Golf.

A new R version of the new Beetle model is being rolled out and it will get the full 270 PS (199 kW / 266 bhp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque from the power plant.

According to a  report, the Beetle – a Europe specific vehicle – will be getting the 2.0 liter TFSI unit from the Golf GTI in a 200 PS (147 kW / 197 bhp) configuration. The car will most probably roll out later this year.

It will have the capability to race from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.5 seconds. Fuel consumption will be 7.7 liters/100 km and prices will start at €27,100.

A splendid interior has been rendered by Nappa leather upholstery, two-tone seat belts, and aluminum door sill plates. The 2.0-liter TSI engine is the source of power that develops 210 PS (155 kW / 208 hp) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. The car attains 0-100 km/h in approximately seven seconds, before hitting a top speed of roughly 240 km/h (149 mph).

Volkswagen has fitted air vents to cool the brakes, lowered coil over suspension and the wheels have been given 235 performance rubber so as to bring in an almost perfect ‘tuner’ stance.  Although it has a ‘concept’ in its official title, it will possibly be a 2012 production model.

The game developers will be releasing the Golf GTI Edition 35 game for the iPhone, iPad and iPod. The games will be featuring 7 different Golf GTI versions.

Starting from the first Golf GTI model released from 1976, to all the way through the years to the all new Edition 35. The 35th edition will be a special edition that would mark the 35th anniversary of the GTI.

The machine would come with an altered 2.0 liter TFSI which can give 235PS. The standard Golf model was only capable of giving 211PS.

The machine was designed specifically for the event and is a roadster version of the Fabia Super 2000. The sloping windscreen of the concept vehicle is an added attraction but the chopped off roof raises questions related to the car’s structural rigidity. This apart, by around 2013, the company will also be lining up the North American production for the Tiguan. The new production plans will help us have a look at the new facelifted compact SUV Tiguan.

If you would remember, the 2007 Tiguan had sold 700,000 units world wide. The facelift was provided this February and next generation is expected by 2013.

The Polo GTI is being offered by VW with a 132kW, 1.4-litre TSI engine and seven speed DSG gearbox. The vehicle brings in ultimate sportiness along with economic performance and has a TSI engine and DSG (Dual Shift Gearbox) that work together to cut down on fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

The Polo GTI boasts of a rear spoiler, red brake callipers, signature GTI bumpers and grille and twin chrome exhausts, and races from 0-100km/h speed in just 6.9 seconds.

VW is also lining up a select number of South African celebrities for all-paid date around Johannesburg and Cape Town.

A gloss black grille with chrome trimming, revised headlights, polished stainless-steel side bars, smoked taillights, new color-coded front bumper with integrated fog lights and a rear roof spoiler make up the Transporter Sportline’s exterior. Adding to these, are the 18-inch Sportline 5-spoke alloys.

While the rally racer features a 1.6-liter TSI engine with 300 PS (221 kW / 296 hp) and an all-wheel drive system, the road going variant is expected to come up with a 1.4 TSI tuned to above the 200 PS (147 kW / 197 bhp) mark and may not have an all-wheel drive system at all. It seems to resemble Scirocco R, which has a front-drive model. The current Polo GTI comes with a 1.4 TSI with 180 PS (132 kW / 178 hp) 249 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.
