Do you know what is as important as having a good looking car? Having a clean, good looking car.
This is why we thought we’d introduce you to the world’s biggest car wash. At this car wash, you don’t just simply go for a wash ‘n go, you treat your petrol-run, metal friend (this is your car). Think of it as a parlour/spa for your car.
Mr. Wash, in Stuttgart, Germany, is way more than a car wash. You won’t find Frikkie and his hosepipe and Sunlight liquid at this establishment. Oh no.
The entire building is 2-stories high and cost a whopping $40 million to build! It can clean up to 400 cars per hour – yes, per HOUR. Which, if you calculate, amours to roughly 500 000 cars a year! (more…)
Chris Harris is a very lucky man, this we know. He gets to test drive all the latest and greatest the automobile industry has to offer and then tell us viewers whether it’s good or not.
This time around, however, the self-confessed car junkie took a bit of a different route.
This video features Chris Harris building his very own rally car. Or rather, taking an old E30 M3 rally car and turning it into a better one. It’s really very interesting and for anyone who ever wanted to build their very own rally car, it is a must see.
Check out the video below. Enjoy!
We already know that a Lamborghini Huracan is a really fast car - and one that not may of us would want to take on in a drag race, that’s for sure.
However, what happens if you pit an all new, super fast Lamborghini Huracana against something worthy of a drag race against it; an actual, military grade fighter jet.
Well, naturally, we all know who will win in the end as the laws of physics will explain, but still, there is something super exciting and really thrilling about watching a Lamborghini Huracan take on an actual fighter jet. And this video does not disappoint! (more…)
Road accidents are no joke. Whether they involve a car or a motorcycle, anyone who has ever been in an accident know how lucky they are to be alive. One man in particular, who can really count himself lucky, is this Russian motorcyclist.
The accident was caught on video by a Russian driver’s dashboard camera.
It was published on YouTube on august 19th and appears to have a July 3oth timestamp. According to various sources, the accident seems to take place on a bridge close to the Russian city of Korolyov.
According to Mashable, they cannot confirm nor deny that the video is, in fact, authentic – but if it turns out to be true, this gentleman can thank his lucky stars and give his guardian angel a pat on the back, because what happens is nothing shy of unbelievable.
We won’t spoil it for you, so check out the video below:
Chris Harris is back and we for one are really excited to see him testing and pitting cars against each other again.
This time around Chris takes on more of a ‘normal’ car. And when we say normal, we mean non-supercar. While we love watching Lamborghinis and Ferraris in action (although we get insanely jealous) it’s also great to see Chris review everyday cars.
With his unique reviewing style, Chris pits the Volkswagen Golf R against the BMW M235i.
Which car do you think will come out on top? Check out the video below:
Pitting two performance cars together is always fun. And while it might sound like an odd match-up between the Audi S3 Saloon and the Subaru WRX STi, these two cars have more in common than you might think and thus makes it the perfect battle.
RIght off the back, we won’t judge you if you believe the Audi will fair better in this competition. After all, the Audi is more expensive at 33,245 pounds and has the more swanky, luxury interior. Also, Audi has somewhat of a reputation as an upmarket performance car, so naturally many us will feel that the Audi has a step up on the Subaru. (more…)
One thing that has always fascinated petrol heads (or actually most people in general) is the concept of a ‘hoverboard’ or ‘hover car’. The idea of literally hovering above the ground as a mode of transport is an exciting prospect and one that we have only seen in sci-fi films. Until now that is.
Chris Malloy, an Australian designer based in London, has come up with something called a ‘hoverbike’ – and while it’s not a hovering skateboard or a hovering car, it’s pretty much as close as we’ll get to any ‘hovering’ mode of transport.
The Hoverbike concept is kind of like a cross between a motorbike, a four-wheeler and a drone quad-copter. And it really does look as though it just came off the set of the latest Star Wars film.
The Hoverbike uses spinning rotors on both the front and back side of the machine. These create enough energy for the Hoverbike to actually lift off the ground. (more…)
It might not be the fastest car in the world anymore, after the Hennessey trumped it from the number one spot, but let’s be honest; it is still super exciting to see a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport race down a straight stretch of road, even if it now holds second place.
At the recent Sun Valley Road Rally in Ketchum, Idaho, one of Bugatti’s rarest beauties got to show off it’s skills and power and in the process blow the socks off of everyone attending the event as well as ourselves, because luckily, someone realized that this is moment not to be missed and pulled out the video camera.
The Sun Valley Road Rally effectively turns a stretch of Highway 75, surrounded by trees and beautiful, picturesque mountains, into a high-speed runway where super cars get to show off just h0w ‘super’ they are.
During the event, the road is not open to the public for use (obviously, they risk a collision with a super fast super car) but the event is open to the public to come and watch, with all proceeds being donated to charity. (more…)
