The Mercedes Benz C63 AMG super Sedan from Daimler got hotter for the coming season courtesy of the performance package plus treatment. The tuning kit for the C63 AMG borrows a few essential traits from the SLS AMG supercar pushing the power to 487hp (30hp more than the standard version). The treatment ensured that the 6.3L V8 beast got new forged alloy pistons, a new set of crank rods and a lightweight crankshaft all from the SLS territory. To top it all, a titanium-colored intake manifold and recalibrated computer module were mated to complete the package that now helps the car pelt from 0 to 62mph in 4.4 seconds. The braking ought to improve with a package such as this and therefore the brake package was upgraded with composite rotors. On the outside, the sedan version gets a carbon fiber spoiler. The upgraded Mercedes Benz C63 should be available in Europe later this year. Sleek, eh? [via Autoblog]

The Volkswagen GTI has also been an adorable hatch but that is not enough at times to draw admiration. Certain power-upgrades can do the trick and that is what UK Tuning House APS has done with the Golf. It has made the iconic hatch touch 250 horses courtesy of a turbocharged engine. The upgrade has also picked up the torque to 395 Nm which gives this commuter a breath of fresh air as far as the engine is concerned.

The tuning house calls this power upgrade-Stage One, which is reflective of the higher power upgrades to come. APS outfitted the Golf with a turbocharged engine that helps achieve 250bhp with 395 Nm and 5800 rpm. Courtesy of this engine, this car clocks 0 to 60mph in 6.2 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 155mph. The price of this ECU is £599.

Irmscher has been closely associated with tuning Opel cars. This time the tuning house has decided to take on the new generation Opel Astra and intends to showcase it at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The kit will include a new front spoiler lip and a radiator grille panel with design rail in stainless steel or carbon fiber. As far as the engine sound is concerned, the kit includes twin elliptical tailpipes for both looks and roaring. Handling is improved using an air diffuser and simultaneously lowering the suspension. On the inside you will find custom leather for seats, door panels and central armrests that add to your comfort, and stainless steels sills to get your eye with.

The Italian tuning house TECHART has revealed a tuning package to facelift the Porsche Cayman and the Boxster. The tuning kit includes a pair of TUV certified aerokits with LED daytime runners, carbon fiber interior touches and sport springs. Talk about the bodywork, the facelift package comes with a front spoiler, a body colored spoiler lip, side sills and a new-looking rear end. The down-force has been improved at multiple points on the car especially the rear where a rigid rear spoiler and apron together ensure that the car stays on road even at extreme speeds. On the inside there is a combination of carbon interiors and aluminum pedals along with a three-spoke steering wheel and lit entry sills.

We’ve had a few mods from famous German tuning company, AC Schnitzer, but this time it’s a bit special. These guys got their hands on the new BMW X5 and came out with the Flacon tuning kit. Why called that way? Well it derives from the front and rear wheel arch flairs which the Germans call as broad “wings”. The kit includes a wide bodykit and an upgraded 3.0 diesel engine, which now develops 310hp (228kW) – 24 hp more than the standard model.

Front spolier, rear skirt, front and rear wheel arch flairs, two triangular metal-rimmed air intakes, 22 inch wheels, lowered springs and a sport exhaust system is what you get, if you want the AC Schnitzer BMW X5 Falcon Tuning Kit.
I’d have to agree it looks pretty neat in all that white, don’t you think?
