Subaru South Africa has decided to drop the Impreza from its lineup. The new Subaru XV, that will be uveilied at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show will be replacing the Impreza range in South Africa from February 2012.
Designed by Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. and described as an “Urban Adventurer”, the XV is a high-riding crossover model that will likely slot in between the Impreza and the larger Legacy Outback. The XV will be powered by a naturally aspirated 2,0-litre example of Subaru’s new FB-generation flat-four petrol engines. In addition, A choice of either 6-speed manual or Lineartronic CVT transmissions will be offered.
Japanese car manufacturer Subaru introduced a teaser sketch of its XV model just ahead of the unveiling of its Impreza-based XV crossover/SUV at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

A few images of the latest offering from Subaru are now on the web rounds. These exclusive photos - leaked from the patent filing documents – identify the car as the 2012 Subaru Impreza XV. The car appears to be a take off from the carmaker’s XV concept.

Toyota and Subaru will launch their jointly-developed sport coupe in late 2011. Fuji Heavy Industries is the parent company of Subaru. Testing is almost complete and the design team is making their final adjustments. The vehicle is expected to be “very comfortable and fuel-efficient”. It features a low center of gravity that will instill driver confidence.

Subaru has just released its brand new model for the Japanese market. Christened Impreza WRX STI Spec C, the car was unveiled earlier this year at the New York Auto Show.

Subaru is on the verge of launching a new brand philosophy, called ‘Confidence in Motion’ and the company will be announcing the very first concept car from this brand at Los Angeles Auto Show this month.

The Forester tS model from Subaru that will be available in the Japanese market has been shown to the public. The Forester tS seems to have some similarities to the S-Edition concept vehicle from Subaru that was displayed recently at the Australian Motor Show.

The Forester S-Edition concept from Subaru that was seen at the Autralian Motor Show seems to be saying that there will be a new Forester variant out. Subaru says that this will be ready by next year.
