Lamborghini is set to roll out two entirely new models. The line up is to have a V8-powered entry-level sports car and another model – most likely an SUV. The V8-powered entry-level sports car is said to be likely to be positioned just below the Gallardo. This model will be Lamborghini’s attempt afresh to get back into the sports car segment. If you would remember, the car maker had in the 70s and 80s unveiled the Urraco, Silhouette and the Jalpa. These models were pitted against the Ferrari/Dino 308 GT4 and the Maserati Merak those days.

Meanwhile, the new upcoming SUV is said to take off from the LM002. The Lamborghini SUV might see itself positioned on the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne and the VW Touareg. However, we might get to see the car in a distinct design when it arrives.

Panoz Auto Development, a small time American automaker has long spoken about the development of the Abruzzi sports car but nothing relevant about the car surfaced for years. Finally, Panoz is talking about revealing Abruzzi at 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. The automaker hasn’t revealed a full time production model since the Esperante in 2000. When the Abruzzi talks first began, it was believed to be a GT1 or GT2 racer which was to compete with the likes of the Vette. A street-legal version of the sports car was to be priced around $150,000, making it a direct competitor of the Corvette ZR1.

Now if those 1,100 guys waiting in line for a Roadster are not mad enough and can wait a few more months, our advice is to save more money and wait for the new sports version. Dubbed Tesla Roadster Sport, the two-seater electric vehicle is now 15-percent more powerful thanks to a hand-wound stator that increases winding density and helps eliminate resistance. The car also sports better handling, a unique paint job with carbon accents and a set of ultra high performance tires. Doing naught to 100km/h in only 3.7 seconds – unlike the base model that takes 3.9seconds – the car is expected to be deliver starting from June and the price is expected to start from $128,500 in the US.
