Audi R8 is pretty badass on itself, but not for the wicked tuners from Wheelsandmore. The 13,998 euros tuning package adds a compressor to the whole deal, making the beast pump nothing less than 530 horsepower. But it’s not only about power, because it features a braking system with 8-piston calipers at the front, 6-piston ones at the back, and high-performance pads. If all these are not enoguh and you still have more of those hard earned greenies, Wheelsandmore will add an aluminum race suspension for 3,999 euros or a 8,949-euro hydraulic lift full-race suspension, a 5,500 euro front lip spoiler and rear diffuser (carbon fiber) and two sets of 20-inch alloy wheels ranging from 9,250 to 9,800 euro. Call it a new car or not, Audi has made it official that their new Audi R8 GT3 that sports 550hp is going to be available to the market from autumn 2009.

“The R8 is the first production Audi bearing the name and genes of a successful racing sportscar and is therefore an excellent base from which to build up our first big customer sport program,” explains Head of Audi Motorsport Dr Wolfgang Ullrich.

Built on a rear-wheel-drive architecture, the new Audi R8 GT3 is looking even better and sports things like a rear wing, a full roll cage, heat extractors over the engine bay or a longer spoiler. But did we mention the performances? It runs on a new 6-speed sequential sports gearbox that takes the suspension components from the regular R8 and sports 550 hp?

We already knew that there’s going to be a new Audi R8 by the end of the year, but the surprise it’s BIG. Our friends from WCF managed to spy on an Audi R8 Targa. These are the first spyshots of one of the best designed open-top super car. With a lot of luck, spy photographer at Carpix managed to catch it without any sorts of camouflage.

Though Targa may not be the actual name (we also heard of Convertible/Cabriolet and Spider) we like it.

What else? The most important is that it uses the 4.2 liter FSI engine that outputs 420 hp, and has two exhaust pipes (looks like the R8 V10 we spotted earlier?. Looking great. We’ll see it in Geneva, next March.

Recently, Audi R8 V10 has been found at Nürburgring sporting with a latest chrome accented grille, oval exhausts tips and full LED headlamps. According to a leaked document the Audi R8 V10 will generate 525hp (386 kW) with its powerful 5.2 liter engine. The regular R8 V10 will probably be ready by June 2009 while the Spyder version is in March 2010. Both supercars will include the R-tronic sequential gearbox.
