Peugeot 308 RC-Z [Audi TT Inspired 308 RC-Z]

Published by on Jun 12th, 2009, 2 Comments

Peugeot 308 RC-Z

If what we have in here is the actual Peugeot 308 RC-Z, all specialists are right that it … somehow … gets its lines from the new Audi TT. Spied in Spain by our good friends from WCF, the new Peugeot 308 RC-Z sure has what it takes to get you ‘wow’. Meant for a 2010 debut the RC-Z is rumored to pack a 250hp (184kW) gas engine along with a bunch of turbo diesels. It definitely has aggressive curves and shapes that charm, but the new Peugeot 308 RC-Z is slated to bear a spicy price tag. Some could easily say that’s the most beautiful Peugeot ever (I’m game) but we’ll let you decide …

Peugeot 5008– As much as we love new models coming on the market, if you’re a guy sitting on a pile of cash and need to decide on what to buy, it’s probably the hardest thing in the world. Check out the new Peugeot 5008, a new 7-seater compact MPV model that gives the feeling of space and openness. Mostly intended for families, the new 5008 features a head-up display, a distance alert system and Snow Motion technology for better traction on snowy surfaces.

The car is somehow roomy. It has a 4.53 meters long and 1.64 m tall, offers a panoramic glass roof, comes with a total cargo volume of 2506 liters and an 823 liters trunk. As for what’s under the hood, the new diesel engines got our attention. There are two light-sipping 1.6 liter HDi variants, and two new 2.0 liter HDi’s each with 150 and 163 bhp, respectively.

Not a bad choice eh?

Peugeot 107 Facelift Announced

Published by on Nov 6th, 2008, No Comments

I’m not a fan of small cars, but I always thought Peugeot 107 had “something” to attract. However, the French thought it’s time for a change and decided to announce the Peugeot 107 Facelift, that will make the small bugger look more interesting to young people (their new target) and will also be more fuel efficient. The facelift will include a newly design front end and lower front panel with side vents and a large chrome strip on the bumper, that will make the new Peugeot 107 look much more robust. Along with these changes, they’re also going to offer two new colors : Mandaline Orange and Electra Blue. Doesn’t look bad for a street car, don’t you think?

Peugeot RC HYmotion4 – Parisian Concept

Published by on Oct 3rd, 2008, 1 Comment

PSA Peugeot Citroen just managed to amaze everyone at the Paris Motor Show the other day, when they showcased the new all-wheel-drive diesel-electric hybrid powertrain called HYmotion4. It’s already used on the Hypnos and Prologue with a 2.0-liter HDi diesel engine with FAP particulate filter for the front wheels and an electric motor for the rear wheels – that outputs 200hp, a six-speed automated gearbox, a 68 mpg fuel efficiency and only 109 g/km of CO2, that sounds like a deal.

However the newest RC Hymotion4 concept (in the pictures above and below) is a four-door GT that sports a total of 313 hp from a 1.6 litre THP engine that outputs 218 bhp and a 70 W electric engine that sports 95hp. All these with only 109 g/km of CO2 emissions that will “eat” 4.5 litres of fuel for every 100 km. Oh and if you were interested in knowing how fast it is, it does 0 to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Great for a hybrid, right?

The Hybrid Concept From Peugeot

Published by on Aug 21st, 2008, No Comments

I certainly think that if Batman was a Peugeot fan, he’d definitely get himself this beautiful hybrid to drive. And he wouldn’t have to wait that long, because the French manufacturer is going to unveil it at the Paris Motor Show, where they’ll tell us the real name. Meanwhile what we know is that this is a GT Coupe with four seats, that offers a stunning luxurious hybrid architecture.

No official word on the specs but rumors say that the engine is going to output some 310 bhp and will go easy on the environment only emitting 109g of CO2 per km (mixed driving mode). Te new hybrid concept from Peugeot is likely to change the brand identity of the French which is going to focus on looks and environment.

But what about quality? Do they guarantee us quality?

Peugeot RC-Z Concept, Will Be Produced

Peugeot RC-Z Concept

I’ve just heard that Peugeot’s General Director, Jean-Philippe Collin, noted during the Lisbon Motor Show that the rumored Peugeot RC-Z Concept is actually going to be produced. Build on the 308 platform, doesn’t yet have a name and the French are expecting to see it reaching dealerships by the spring of 2010.

Rumors say that we will get to see the new Peugeot RC-Z Concept in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. I really wonder if they will make it hybrid or something !!!

For a good price, they would sell a lot of units with this design. What do you think?
