The BMW 5-Series’s complete details are about to be revealed soon, but meanwhile, some pics of the car’s design were leaked – you can see the front end of the car partially exposed. BMW officials claim that this car will be the most visually striking model in the BMW lineup for this generation. However, the leaked photos don’t seem to go along with these claims a lot. The car seems to be based on design elements that have been tried with time and are a natural step forward – they don’t look remarkably extraordinary though. The car will probably be equipped with a new version of one of the current engines, especially tweaked for increased efficiency and fuel use. There are some rumors floating around that it may actually be a four-cylinder petrol turbo engine. [via 5post]

Do you remember the concept teaser image of the new Volvo S60 that has left us drooling about a year ago? What about the spaceship-like teasing interior of the new Volvo S60 that we laid our eyes ahead of the Detroit show, last December? Well folks we can finally got our hands on the first official photos with the 2011 Volvo S60 Luxury Sedan, before its public debut at next year’s Geneva Motor Show. “The all-new Volvo S60 is sculpted to move you,” says Stephen Odell, President and CEO of Volvo Cars. “It looks and drives like no other Volvo before and the car’s technology will help you to be safer and more confident behind the wheel.” Not much else to tell you about it, except for the fact that it sure has what it takes to win a man’s heart.

Koenigsegg may not be an owner as experienced as GM but it has taken the right decision of hurrying the announcement of the 2010 Saab 9-5. It may not be hurried in the context that an upgrade took a decade but even then, it is good to know that the upgrade has finally arrived. The influences of GM are still evident but that in no manner harms the car. The 2010 Saab 9-5 comes with a number of engine choices which include a 1.6-liter gas turbo variant capable of producing 180hp, a 2.8L V6 turbo that churns 300 horses and a 2.0L 4 Cylinder turbo capable of producing 220hp. For the green freaks, there is an E85 based 2.0L engine and a 2.0L turbo diesel choice. All these engine variants will be mated to a six-speed gear transmission. [via Jalopnik]
