Nissan has unveiled a racing edition of the GT-R called the NISMO GT-R RC (Racing Competition). It was launched at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon by the manufacturers’ in house tuner NISMO.

A joint project by Nissan, motor-sport division NISMO, NOVA Engineering and Nordring tuning has enabled the availability of a Track Club Edition of the Nissan GT-R. This offer is only for the Japanese market and sources say applications are being accepted until September 20.

Nissan’s official tuner, Nismo, released a Club Sport upgrade package for the GT-R R35 model. Their main focus was on delivering a light car with increased handling and my honest opinion is that they managed. With RAYS forged aluminum wheels and Bridgestone RE070R run-flats, with Bilstein’s Damptronic height adjustable coilovers, a new exhaust system and carbon fiber undertray, the Club Sport package is only available in Japan for now and costs a whopping ¥5,460,000 (€35,000). However, importers got their hands on some deals and we can expect it in South Africa soon enough for something much cheaper.
