Spy photographers managed to capture the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon whilst the commuter was being test driven at night in Germany. The wagon was clicked without much camouflaging which reveals quite a bit about the car before its slated Frankfurt debut. The images reveal that the E 63 AMG sedan hasn’t been much tampered with when talking about the front fascia and therefore the same split lighting, front lip, and LEDs are visible. Towards the rear, there are some changes than can be spotted and that includes light clusters and a hatch. Even the rear bumper is a new entity but that is not the case with the Quad exhaust. The wagon will be powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine from AMG which produces 518hp with 630Nm of torque. [via WCF]
Some details of the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG are out. The E 63 is at the top of the class and sports some equipment that other E-Class models don’t. First and foremeost is the 6.3-litre (6208 cc) V8 engine with natural aspiration. Power maxes out at 386kW (525hp) and peak torque is 630Nm.

The E 63 also has the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission from the SL 63 AMG. No more conventional torque converter. Instead there is a wet start-up clutch – Controlled Efficiency, Sport, and Manual. The manual allows the driver to change gears using paddles or the gear shift.
The E 63 AMG goes from 0 – 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.5 seconds. It is electronically limited at a speed of 250km/h (155mph). Stopping power is helped by the optional ceramic brakes. The car has lightweight forged 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels. There is a spoiler lip on the boot lid and a roller blind for the rear window. Nappa leather all around. AMG has a new speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering system for more direct responsiveness without compromising the day-to-day use of the car.
