We guess we needn’t tell you that BMW is almost ready with their 2012 M5 model. Believed to be a production version of the M5 concept from the BMW stables, the car comes with some amazing features that could make any motoring freak to sit up and plan his next buy.

The latest spy cam shots of the upcoming 2012 M6 Coupe as well as that of the Cabriolet models are out. The vehicles were spotted while undertaking their spring testing together. Well, the most significant thing here is that the BMW M6 Coupe appears to be less disguised this time as compared to its last appearance.

It is finally quits for the E60 BMW M5. Ending five years of production, the carmaker had rolled out only 20,548 units of the fourth-generation M5. And ever since BMW went in for the five door variant, only 1,025 BMW M5 Touring units were built.

The E60 BMW M5 had been noted for its 5.0-liter V10 petrol engine that brought to the fore 509 horsepower (380 kW / 516 PS), and up to 520 Nm (380 ft-lb) of torque. We have seen it race from 0-100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds when BMW married the engine to a seven-speed SMG or a six-speed manual transmission. The model had capabilities to touch 337 km/h (209 mph), and its speed was electronically-limited to 249 km/h (155 mph).
The car maker is seriously looking at altering its assembly line in Germany’s Dingolfing, so that it can go ahead with the planned production of the F10 M5. This fifth-generation M5 could come with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and is seen as capable enough to return 570 hp (425 kW / 578 PS), and up to 680Nm (502 ft-lb) of torque. Sounds good!

The big brands are all out there in the cold testing their automobiles to adjudge how well they will perform once they hit the factory floor. The latest catch is the 2011 BMW M5 more specifically known as the BMW M5 F10.

The heavily camouflaged traction-control test mule reveals sculpted door panels and side sills along with a kidney grille. Other exterior and interior traits of the mid-segment emperor have been nicely clad but what are already public are the details of its 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 engine. The plant under the hood churns 578hp at 531-lb-ft of torque which helps the upcoming M5 reach 100km/h in 4.4 seconds. Compare this 0 to 100km/h timing with the E60 M5 and you will discover that the next-gen model is 0.3 seconds quicker. The 2011 model will also feature a version of the kinetic energy recovery system which will improve the overall efficiency by 30% help the M5 F10 achieve 24mpg when the sedan hits the road in Spring next year. As if the BMW M5 with the 378 kW / 507 bhp engine wasn’t enough, G-Power decided to tune it up. This is the second time for them to do the tunning on a M5, but what you’re about to read will make you drool if you’re a bimmer fan, because the 340 km/h top speed they attained last time was topped with 20 km/h more making the BMW M5 Hurrican “fly” with 360 km/h at the Papenburg high speed track.It uses the G-Power Evo II supercharging system to produce a staggering 537kW / 730 bhp. We don’t know yet what fuel it used or what tyres but this baby is very fast, just like a hurricane. What do you guys think, because if I could afford one, I would definitely buy it to impress some chicks.

Wiesmann has finally revealed its rather Batmobile-looking GT MF 5 sports coupe. Powered by a 5.0-liter V10 engine outsourced from the latest BMW M5, the car takes only 3.9 seconds to jump from zero to 60mph.

As you can see on the pictures, the Wiesmann GT MF 5 features a stiff aluminum monocoque with a front-mounted mid-engine chassis layout. The powerful motor is mated to a seven-speed sequential gearbox transmitting the power to the rear wheels.
Compared to the standard Wiesmann GT, the MF 5 has a lowered ground clearance and wider track but is 100kg heavier.
The car is expected to go into production in the second half of 2008. Price is yet to be announced.
