Manhart Racing has always done justice to the bimmers by making them the powerhouse they deserve to be and this time around, the German firm has taken on the BMW M3 E92 Compressor Coupe.

The BMW M3 Coupe engine output was boosted to a whopping 646 hp through a three-part upgrade. Courtesy of the increase in power, the Manhart Racing BMW M3 E92 does the 0 to 100km/h feat in a sweltering 3.7 seconds while the engine tops it out at 350km/h. In the first stage of the upgrade Manhart added a small compressor which took the boost pressure to .35bar while in the second stage the pressure reached .50bar. The last stage saw the addition of on an ASA Compressor taking the pressure to .67bar and the overall power to 646horses.

It is no big secret that the 2011 BMW 3-series performance off-shoot M3 will not be available as a GTS variant in the US. This leaves us guessing what the M division of BMW will come up with to please the performance and aggression hungry Americans. Rumor has it that BMW will be offering an optional Competition Package on the 2011 M3 which once integrated will bring the car close to the M3 GTS. The Competition Package codenamed ZCP will please the performance seeking customers with differences like 19-inch wheels, a suspension system lowered by 10mm and an upgraded EDC sport-setting. For the cabin, the package will include Alcantara interior inserts. The package also might offer an exhaust and a transmission upgrade. Just like all those other ‘Competition Packages’ that have been around since 2005, ZCP will also cost between $4,000 and $5,000.

For those wondering how would their M3 do against a Bugatti Veyron … we have a pretty good answer.
Actually that’s a E92 M3 if you were asking!

Kneißler Autotechnik did not seemingly like the engine output of the BMW M3 E46 and therefore thought it deserves a supercharger. Therefore their wicked mechanics equipped the supercharger with a charge air cooler and revised the engine electronics to help the 3.2-liter inline-six to produce 459 hp and 498 Nm of torque. You might want to be critical to the €13,000 price tag but then there is a lot more power to play with, it might sound interesting. The hike in power is well embraced with the use of a Stoptech braking system with six piston calipers clamping a divided discs (price: €3852), while at the back there are four piston calipers doing the same job (€3103). Wisely enough, the exterior has been left untouched. What a beautiful monster …

Probably inspired from Star Wars (the name that is) Canadian tuners from MWDesign came up with a modified BMW M3 Coupe (E92). All about aesthetics, the “Darth Maul” BMW M3 is covered with a stylish Jerez Black paint and features an Amuse Ericsson front bumper with custom orange highlights that grab attention. Fitted to the aggressive bodywork there are carbon fiber side vents, carbon fiber side mirrors, a rear diffuser and glossy black 20-inch wheels. With power pumped from a 4.0-litre V8 engine that outputs 420 hp, that’s one hell of a BMW. Don’t you think? [via bmwblog.com]
Usain Bolt is the Olympic Champion and the fastest man on earth. Not with a car though. World 100m and 200m record holder, Usain was “running” his 309kW (420hp) BMW M3 Coupe (given by his sponsor, Puma) on Wednesday afternoon, and because of a wet road surface, his M3 skidded off the road. He got minor injuries to the ball of his feet from thorns, but he walked on right after. Not the same could be said about the car though, which had the front tyres were punctured, the front left wheel almost torn off, a destroyed windscreen and a dislodged rear window. The 22-year old sprinter said “Me good man. Me all right, a just few cuts man, me all right”. So it’s good that only the car got wrecked in here … [via edmunds.com]

The M3 is already an amazing ride, but we’ll have to agree that it could use a small facelift from time to time. That’s what the wicked tuners from Hartge managed to do. They came out with an aerodynamic kit that include a front spoiler lip, carbon add-ons for the front spoiler lip, and side sills for both right and left rear. Also included with the package there’s a rear diffuser, a stylish lip for the boot lid (not available for the convertible, though) and a set of carbon cased mirrors. Though we don’t have a price or a full list of changes, it’s obvious that the exterior accessories pimped it out a little, don’t you think? [via WCF]
