That means the car will get a new transmission, a sportier exhaust and higher quality interiors. Lots is also expected to equip its lineup with a convertible and a high-performance version. It has also been pointed out that there is a possibility of a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 with approximately 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) power train. We need to expect a plug-in hybrid variant that might debut in another two years.

The new face-lifted Evora is expected to sport a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. Besides, it will also have two electric motors that would be helping the vehicle race from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Reduced CO2 emission of 55 g/km could also be the norm.

It has to be noted that Elan was proposed to be launched in 2013 replacing Evora. As you may be aware, the first mid-engined 2+2 production Evora has been packed with amenities and creature comforts such as leather seats, on-board tyre pressure monitoring, air-conditioning, airbags, Alpine multi-media system, satellite navigation, video, Bluetooth hands-free telephone and iPod connectivity functions, reversing camera and more.

With the recent news, we can well expect a variety of Evora variants – such as a convertible and track-oriented model hitting the roads soon. Despite all these, Lotus has reaffirmed plans to launch the Esprit in 2013.

The new edition is expected to be based on styling elements from the concept models from company that was showcased at the Paris Motor Show – the new Elan, Elite, and Esprit concepts. The model will also feature certain additional standard equipments and high quality materials in the improved interior.

We could expect two engine options. One will be a 3.5-liter V6 capable of providing an output of 280 PS (206 kW / 276 hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque and the other one, a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 comes with an output of 350 PS (258 kW / 346 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).

The updated Lotus Evora is likely heading for launch during late 2011 as a 2012 model from the company.

Lotus is now all set to launch its new car made specifically for the urban dwellers. Then new Mini concept is small, yet fast and it is supposed to be a blessing to the motorists in the busy crowded urban streets.

To come with advanced range-extended electric drivetrain with a single-speed transmission and an electric only range of roughly 40 miles, the car will also boast of a compact 3 cylinder engine. Pretty neat for a car of its class.

The new Mini car has been made by lotus in collaboration with parent company Proton. We hear three different variants of the car – a low-cost model for Asia, a regular one and a sportier version for the Western markets – are in the pipeline.

However, we hear that  the car will not be ready for roll out before 2014.

An expected rival to the Porsche 911, the new Lotus Elan comes with a seven-speed DCT transmission, which helps the 1,295 kg car to race from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.  The Elan is to go on sale during the fall season of 2013, and might carry a tag of around £75,000 in the UK market.

Lotus is also bringing in a hybrid variant of the vehicle that would promise to cut CO2 emissions by as low as 199 g/km. Watch the video below:

The 2014 Lotus Elite is quite compact – measuring at 4.60m length, 1.90m width, and 1.32m in height- and has a visual style that is dramatic, with a hard top that is retractable.

The car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 620 PS (456 kW / 612 hp) and 720 Nm (531 Nm) of torque. Initial reports say that the company expects the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 to 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph), although official data confirming this is still being awaited.

Sources at the company boast that they have created a car that is compact yet spacious, low-emitting and high performance, lightweight and yet very solid. They reaffirm that there is no other vehicle in the market that can match up to it in terms of styling and performance.

The best news is that the Elite will also be offered as a hybrid – which will have a hybrid gearbox (with integrated electric motors) and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS). According to the information received, the Elite hybrid will offer emissions that are as low as 215 g/km.

The vehicle will be on the market in the spring of 2014, and the tentative base price has been set at £115,000 (including a VAT of 17.5%)

The Lotus Elise admirers will be pleased to know that Lotus has unveiled the details and photographs of the latest facelifted Elise which will be sold as the 2011 model. Compared to its predecessor, you will notice that the 2011 Elise shuns the dual-teardrop front light cluster and integrates the LED daytime running lights into the main headlight. The extra fog lights are no where to be found on the 2011 edition of the roadster while the Evora-esque front fascia has been remodeled with a wider grille and an updated splitter that gives the car an all new look. On the rear, you will discover that the rear vents on the side of the outer taillights have vanished and the bumper now extends almost till the diffuser. Other than changes to the front and rear, the 2011 Lotus Elise gets better and cleaner engine options under the hood along with a new close-ratio six-speed transmission.

The Lotus Exige Scura or the Exige Stealth Special Edition (for the Japanese) is being readied for a Tokyo debut and as per the company officials it will be a stunning vehicle which will offer an adrenaline fueled experience — something we can’t fight with. The name ‘Scura’ means dark in Italian, and it’s not hard to understand why the name was chosen as it has been finished with a matte black paint with high gloss ‘Phantom Black’ triple stripes.

The Exige Scura is a little monster with a dynamic design that will be built in a limited edition of only 35 units which will be sold across the world so you can be rest assured of the exclusivity factor. Under the hood will be a supercharged 1.8-litre engine with VVTL-I which sports 260hp and 236Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine would be assisted by a 6-speed manual gearbox helping the Exige Scura to reach 100km/h in 4.1 seconds on its way to a max speed of 245km/h.

As far as the economy is concerned the Scura furnishes a combined fuel consumption figure of 8.5 litres per 100km

Found in Monterrey, Mexico, this custom Lotus Exige S is a sure bet to getting some Latina eyes on you. Running on a supercharged 1.8 liter DOHC engine supplied by Toyota and known as Exige Scuderia, the car features a custom body kit with rear diffuser and a huge wing, and a KOMO-TEC S300 Phase 3 intercooler upgrade kit that takes power output to a good 300hp.
