Fancy what happens when you put the Lexus LFA and a Nissan GTR on a test track? This is exactly what the guys at MotorTrend did. Pitting the Lexus LFA against almost compatriot Nissan GTR is sure to throw up interesting results. Amazing results ensue, indeed, we got to see.

The Lexus LFA will already be a limited edition vehicle with 500 units slated for sales around the globe. The exclusive edition will be all the more special as Lexus has also decided to offer 50 units out of this package which will be dubbed the LFA Nürburgring edition. The special edition packaged will cost an extra $70,000 above the US$375,000 price tag which the standard edition of the limited production model shall cost. Shelling another $20,000 will also fetch the customers a matt black exterior paint job, making their commuter look all the more rare. The commuter will be powered by a 4.8L V10 engine which is upped by an extra 10 horses for these 50 LFA edition models only.

Europeans have fallen head over heels for the two-seater exotic sports coupe, the new Lexus LF-A, as the commuter is in high demand on the old continent. The V10-engine powered beast capable of churning 522 hp and going 0 to 62mph in 3.7 seconds, is a limited edition model with only 500 units being produced and production beginning later this year. With orders being received from over 56 countries, each unit will come with an estimated base price of $350,000 to $375,000; a price that Europeans are seemingly not bothered with. So we wonder, what financial crisis?
