Glimpses of the new 2013 Mercedes S-class have been seen, courtesy of ‘spy-photographers’. The much awaited car was spied doing test runs in southern Germany - though covered with tons of camouflage hiding details.

Citroen has released the first pictures of the 2011 Citroen C4 Picasso and the three-row seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso. Both the updated models will be unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

Leaked image of the 2012 Nissan GT-R is up and running in the web and the car is expected to be unveiled later this year. This comes about two months after some spy pictures had revealed one of the two Nissan GT-R prototypes doing some tests at the Nurburgring circuit (in Germany).

The Stratos is acknowledged to be one of the most legendary cars in the history of the automobile. With acclaim that started forty years ago when it was first unveiled as a prototype at the 1970 Turin Motor Show, the Stratos has taken several world championship titles as part of a five year winning spree. The reason it is back in the news is due to the fact that people have glimpsed what he looks like the new versionof Stratos making its rounds on the Fiat Group’s test track near Milan.

As is the case with the S Class and the GL, the C from Mercedes will also receive the LED driving lamps treatment.
According to some scans from an upcoming brochure, the changes will be minimal. Just a few changes to the fog lamps and I assume the LED’s will only be offered with vehicles with the Bi-Xenon option.

I suppose its a sad day when the addition of LED’s to golfs become newsworthy, but news on the automotive front have been a bit dull this week.
Anyway, for those who care the new Golf R is going to have LED taillights like the ones pictured above offered as standard and the GTI and GTD will have it offered as a R3500 option. Why can’t they just include it in the price and add it anyway? Well they’ll make more money this way is the obvious answer.
The benefits of using LED’s are they last longer and illuminate quicker – 0.2 seconds quicker than conventional bulbs in fact.
All this means that people will see you hitting the brakes a fifth of a second quicker, shaving a full 5 meters off the braking distance from 100km/h.
Plus they look cool.
