The new model, engineered in Europe at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical facility in Russelsheim, Germany has been designed in the so-called ‘fluidic sculpture’ style.

Hyundai explains that the new design utilizes strong fluid lines inspired by nature and modern architecture to give it a constant three-dimensional presence. The new model is likely to showcase a higher quality design with its hexagonal shaped front grille and jewel-like headlamps.

It is rumoured that the new Hyundai i30 could replace the Elantra Touring model in the US in 2012. Hyundai hopes that the new model will play a significant role in developing its brand image in Europe. The car itself closely resembles that of the recently unveiled Hyundai i40.

The 2012 Hyundai i30 could heat up the competition in the European market which is currently dominated by other models like Volkswagen Golf, Opel Astra and Ford Focus.

The car, however, looks stunning and is distinct from the present market model. The face-lifted version comes equipped a revised grille, restyled mirrors, LED taillights and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

Though the alterations seem to have brought in minimum changes to the interior, we find a handful of higher quality materials, revised trim and a cool glove box have been included. Hyundai hopes to keep on the legacy of its earlier mid-sized sedan with the mild tweaks.

The car will continue with the default 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine giving 165 hp (123 kW / 167 PS) in South Korea. However, the 2.4-liter edition of the face-lifted 2012 Sonata will be changed to fit in the new turbocharged 2.0-liter which pumps out a power of 271 (202 kW / 275 PS).

If the rumblings are to be taken to face value, this coupe will compete with some extraordinary machines on the road, like the Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911. It is also being said that the front engine and mid-engine designs are under consideration.

An updated edition of the 4.6-liter V8 boosted by direct injection and a higher compression ratio is what the car will bring along with it. The type of injection the supercar will use is still being debated.

Some feel that it would be a six-speed, while others think it could be a twin-clutch auto-manual.

We are still waiting to hear more from the carmaker on that.

Though it sounds peculiar, it has to be noted that Hyundai could be hedging their bets in case consumers balk at the current model’s four-door arrangement which has two normal doors, a tiny third door (on the passenger side) and a rear hatch.

Designed to compete with the Mini Cooper and Scion tC, the previous version of Veloster featured motorcycle-inspired styling that is highlighted by black A-pillars, muscular wheel arches, LED-infused headlights, a center-mounted dual exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels (18-inchers are optional).  Though Hyundai called the Veloster a three-door coupe, the car actually had four-doors as there’s two traditional front doors, a hatch, and a unique forward-hinged rear door (on the passenger side) which improves access to the back seat.

So far, there has been no word as to when the model will be launched.

The model happens to be one of the most luxurious models from Hyundai. The vehicle has got dark chrome accents as well as a “shark-fin” antenna. It features exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior cabin is adorned with “Saffiano” leather upholstery. It runs a piano black trim and is provided with a rear seat entertainment system.

Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine. It churns out 430 PS (316 kW / 424 hp) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Genesis Prada is available in three colors such as Black Nero, Blue Baltico and Brown Moro. It has been learnt that the production of the model will be limited to 1,200 units in South Korea. Some units will be exported to China and the Middle East as well.

New indicator lights embedded in the side mirrors as well as a newly designed set of headlights stand out. Going by the pictures, a few minor changes have been brought in to the front and rear bumpers.

The vehicle incorporates the 3.8 liter V6 with 310 PS (228 kW / 306 bhp), something which was earlier seen in other variants. The 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is expected to make its debut sometime later this year.

Considering that the standard Veloster is powered by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine producing 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS) and 123 lb-ft (167 Nm) of torque, the rally bred version must be having a turbocharger for increased power output. Veloster gets six-speed manual transmission or the rather new six-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and boasts a specific output of 86.3 hp per liter. To make things better the Veloster returns an estimated 40 mpg.

The standard variant features a clubman like 3 door design and sports 17 inch wheels with 215/45 all season tires. Optionally two sets of 18 inch alloys are available in 215/40 series performance tires.

Hyundai has long sweated over their exceptional auto designs, with their new concept car truly embracing their penchant for fluidic sculpture. By combining the latest technology with an urbanized vehicle, Hyundai have shoehorned their brightest ideas into the Curb. By casting aside notions of box-like urban runners, the Curb maintains its own style while showing no apparent shortcomings. The lead designer was quoted as saying that Hyundai wanted an ‘urban tough’ luxury truck.

A 1.6-liter gamma inline-four marks the basis of the Curbs powertrain and an additional turbocharger boosts output to 175HP. The dual-clutch gear system ensures that 50km per liter is achieved in the city, with 60km per liter possible on the highway. 22” Michelin wheels keeps this beast stuck firmly to the road; these wheels are further customised with orange-coloured tread patterns.

As for the advanced technology, we can one day look forward to the Curb treating us to exhaust vents that slide open to display a bike rack, an LCD display that completely replaces rear view mirrors, as well as three-holded A-pillars which improve cornering performance.  This Hyundai Concept is unlikely to be in any car dealers until 2015, according to the manufactures. For now, we will simply have to enjoy the glamour shots of the Curb on the showroom floor.

A 1.6-liter turbocharged unit is expected to follow this first offering, which will have a more robust output of 177 PS (131 kW/175 hp).

It is also being rumored that the US version of the Veloster’s 1.6 engine will have 138 bhp (103 kW) and 123 lb-ft of torque (167 Nm). These reports also reveal that the 2012 Accent from Hyundai will make its debut at the New York Auto Show.

An appealing vehicle, the Equus comes with leather upholstery with an Alcantara headliner. The driver’s seat can give one a massage, and front seats are cooled/heated capable. Steering wheel can be heated; and a glass sunroof is in place. With power reclining / heated rear seats and power rear sunshades, this car is a pleasure to drive.

The engine is a 4.6-liter V8 with 385 hp (287 kW / 390 PS) and 333 lb-ft (451 Nm) of torque, connected to a six-speed ZF automatic transmission, which gets the car from 0-60 mph in less than 6.4 seconds.

To get the Ultimate package, customers will have to pay an additional $6,500 (€4,700), which will give them individual rear seats, rear passenger-side seat massage system, cooled rear seats, rear-seat entertainment system, a rear center console refrigerator, and a power trunk lid.

Both models have features like Smart Cruise Control, GPS navigation, a 608-watt Lexicon 7.1 Discrete surround-sound system, XM Satellite Radio, iPod/USB/Bluetooth connectivity, and an Apple iPad coming as standard features.
