The two 5-door hatch prototypes that you see in the picture above were caught testing in the European Alps. The heavily applied camouflage succeeds well in hiding the design lines of this new compact competitor.However, we could assume that the new model comes up with a lot of changes. The tuning job is almost similar to the one announced in the manufacturer’s home country. The body of the auto will be equipped with a new front apron, grille with LED daytimers, roof-mounted wing and side skirt.

The tuner is also offering a performance boost for the 1.5 liter petrol-run hybrid system. But the details of the have not been released yet. The vehicle is also expected to deliver better mileage, probably with by making use of weight saving measures.

MUGEN Euro has stated that with more power and enhanced torque delivery, CR-Z could be even more exciting. The tuner also has made it clear that the vehicle is still in the development phase with no plans for a production version. So it is likely to be a show car, we suppose.

If so, the vehicle definitely will travel 10 to 15 miles that is 16 to 24 km on electricity alone, offering speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h). The battery which is expected to feature will be a 6 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The time required to get the battery full charged is 2 to 2.5 hours with a conventional 120 volt household outlet or 1 to 1.5 hours with a 240 volt rapid charger. We will get you more details on 2012 Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid as soon as they are out.

Any further information wasn’t given, although we suspect the new model to be larger than the existing one. A hybrid version could also be on the offering, but no official reports on that.

The company is currently facing a crisis, but has climbed on to the recovery path of late. Globally the company’s profits nose-dived in 3Q with 7% decline in sales. Furthermore net income dropped 40% to ¥81.1 billion, or about $994.6 million, in the period, while operating profit fell 29 percent to $1.54 billion.

Increasing demand for light trucks will improve Honda’s U.S. sales to about 1.28 million vehicles in the fiscal year ending March 31, Kondo predicts. He sees the total U.S. market coming in around 12.6 million units in the fiscal year that starts April 1.

Honda officials are expecting sales to bounce back seeing the US economy recover.

Whatever Honda comes up with the CRV will be quintessential for Honda’s upbeat in the market after they took off Element from the lineup.

This design will provide more interior and luggage space in the compact body of the vehicle.

The new Fit Shuttle will be available in Japan with a similar engine lineup to the hatchback version including a conventional 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and a hybrid variant that features the compact and lightweight IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) system.

The new concepts will be powered by a range of engine choices. They include conventional petrol units, a natural gas variant, and a hybrid. The hybrid model will have the newest Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system which will be powered by a lithium-ion battery and this is for the first time a Honda model is featuring the Integrated Motor Assist system.

The new civic concepts are expected to keep its tradition of user-friendliness, sporty performance and excellent fuel economy. It has been learnt that the company is also expanding the retail sales of the natural gas-powered Civic GX model.  No further details have provided by the company. The 2012 Civic model will go on sale this summer.
