The German tuner Hamann is famous for giving a new life to existing cars and it does well with all its changes on most occasions. It is therefore evident that bigger monikers like BMW do not have an apprehension to such changes. It is the 5 series which has undergone the trim and there is a set of images that have been revealed. There is no information available regarding the changes have been made but what is known is that the details of the original Hamann 5-Series GT will go public at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The GT as regular variant will come with seating space for four people inside a wheelbase equivalent in length to the 7 Series. The engine will sure go for a trim and one should also look out for a modified front end and rear bumper with signature black wheels and different tailpipes. Also there would be powerful brakes and a host of branded accessories on the inside.

Tuners worldwide seem to be interested in getting beefed up BMWs on the market; and we can only be happy about it. German “tweakers” from HAMANN showed off the 2009 BMW 7 Series from their own perspective. Part of an aerodynamic kit, there’s a new front skirt with integrated LED daytime running lights, a roof spoiler and a rear spoiler for more aggressivity. Also on offer there’s a new set of four sporty tailpipes and a range of wheels that are supposed to make it stylish. Large car that tries to prove its performance, but do you like it?
A couple of weeks ago we showed you some spyshots of Hamman’s Mercedes-McLaren SLR-based Volcano, but now we have something even better. Even though we don’t have an official press release we got our hands on a video with the stylishly Volcano so that we can have a first peek inside and to check out (in detail) the car on the outside. I simply love the curves, the two-tone paint scheme in white and black, the huge rear wing, the front skirt, the triple-pipe exhaust and those incredible darkened rear lamps. Imagine when we get the specs for that monster … – via WCF

What was the first thing you thought of when you read “volcano” in the title? Was it something hot, because what I am about to tell you about it sure is. The guys at Hamann Motorsports are going to release the SLR Volcano soon, or at least that’s what these spyshots show below. Along with other SLR tuners like RENNtech, Mansory or Brabus, Hamann wants to impress and manage to include great things like the two-tone paint scheme, tripple-pipe exhaust, roof air scoop, rear bumper diffuser, deep-dish 3-piece Hamann wheels, rear wheel arch flares, smoked tail light lens and a large rear wing. We’re waiting for them to go official with it because this baby is damn hot. – via WCF

A year and a half later, in 2003, after the release of the original car, Hamann came out with a tuning pack for the E63 BMW 6-Series. These days they’re very keen on showing us another pack for the new (facelifted) 6-Series, even though it’s earlier than we’ve been used to.
Though they think their model is much of an improvement with redesigned front and rear bumper fascia, side skirts and rear roof and bott lid spoilers, we’ll have to think different. Yes it is a BMW I would drive, but if you work hard on building something new, why not make it top notch? For me this just doesn’t cut it. I want it loud and hard. By this I mean either I get something very different from my stock car that I bought.

Hamann, the guys that have made a name for themselves for tuning Bimmers, came out with a nice surprise for Fiat owners. So if you have a Fiat 500 and want to make it a badass the Sportivo package by Hamann is what you may need. It includes new 17-inch alloy wheels and a 30mm lowered chassis for improved handling and drivability, a new sport exhaust system for thrilling sounds, a new sports braking system and a re-programmed integrated control unit that boosts the power with 15 hp up to 90 hp.
Not a bad look but I’m not sure if they managed to get the desired results.
