The latest reports from Ferrari confirm that they’re planning something big. We hear they will be replacing the 430 Spider and the 599 GTB Fiorano, two of its five core models, within two years and are planning to launch a sportier variant of its model 458 Italia. The much anticipated successor of Ferrari Enzo will be launched next year, to the excitement of Ferrari fans.

The Ferrari F70 has been talked about for a long time, and recently, some more details about the car have surfaced. The supercar will be superior to the Enzo in many ways – it will be more compact and lightweight, able to reach better top speeds. Ferrari F70 is rumored to weigh just 1000 kg, which is almost 400kg under the Enzo’s weight. Carbon has been extensively used to save up on weight, and you can find it in the brakes, body panels, as well as in the interior. As for what’s under the hood, the car will feature a twin-turbo V8 engine that outputs 660hp, accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.0 second, and reaches a top speed of up to 230 mph. Meant as a limited edition of only 399 units, the new F70 will cost dearly: some £600,000 or close to $1 million. [via WCF]
Edo Competition is in the mood to touch upon its favorite cars as it just finished revving up the Mercedes Benz C63 and here it is again with a performance package for the Ferrari Enzo. The package dubbed the XX features a complete engine makeover including new steel cylinders, pistons, camshafts, valve springs, and Titan connecting rods. Other additions include new oil cooling piston pipes, exhaust manifolds, a sport air filter, an air-ram system, a high performance clutch, and a new oil pump.

This package provides carbon-ceramic braking system alongwith a carbon-fiber air intake, a new fuel cooling system, and black racing wheels with Michelin high performance tires for the Enzo. What the tuning aficionados will most adore is a stainless steel sport catalytic converter with two different exhaust notes. The controls of these notes lie with the driver through a dash-mounted switch. Courtesy of all these changes, the Ferrari Enzo XX can produce a starting 800 hp at 780Nm of torque. Consequently it does 0 to 60mph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 236mph.
