Hyundai is set to unleash the Veloster rally car at the Chicago Auto Show after we saw the production ready version of the standard model at the Detroit Auto Show last month. Hyundai are tight lipped on further details, but they did release an image of the car with Red Bull racing colors. The car was having heavy under body protection, an extended rear wing and hopefully a bulky suspension too.

Li-Ion Motors has announced the production of its all-electric models, the INIZIO supercar and the WAVE II at the Detroit auto show. The carmaker is now taking orders on these two new models.

Audi has unveiled the 2012 Audi A6, a sedan version of the A7 Sportback, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The car’s interior offers extra room as the wheelbase has been stretched to measure 2910mm long. The highly stylized cockpit features 1,300-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system and MMI navigation plus with internet connectivity.

Jeep has officially unveiled the 2011 Compass at the Detroit Auto Show. This face-lifted version of the original Jeep Compass is available with a Freedom Drive II package which adds low-range gearing, an increased ride height, and Trail Rated badging.

The Hyundai Veloster would be making its debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show. Hyundai’s Veloster is a compact sports model that is reportedly putting itself in the some market as Volkswagen’s Scirocco. Based on information received, the car will be powered by a 1.6 liter, direct-injection gasoline/petrol engine producing 122 PS (90 kW/121 hp) and 155 Nm (114 lb-ft) of torque.
A press release just came in today from Honda, that announced they will be showing off the next generation of the Pilot SUV in January at the Detroit Auto Show. Though I like the sporty-rugged looks that makes it very strong I can’t help noticing but isn’t it looking like a Jeep?

Honda’s Pilot features the same eight seats and medium off-road capabilities, should bring advanced technologies for safety, fuel efficient engines and an interior that may get you sleep inside for a night or two. I am sure it won’t wrack its reputation of a midsize SUV that won the “5best truck” award by “Car and Driver” magazine for six years in a roll.
I would be much more comfortable to have a live version the new Honda Pilot, but we’ll have to settle with the prototype above.
