Expected to launch their first an SUV-like vehicle, Dacia announced Sandero Stepway at this year’s Barcelona motor show. The four meter vehicle is actually the European version of Renault Sandero Stepway which was already selling in Argentina and Brazil since November 2008, with over 2,500 units being sold by now.

With a raised body, rear skid plate and sills, chrome longitudinal roof bars and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels, Sandero Stepway features an ABS breaking system with ABD and fron airbags for the driver and the passenger. Available in three metallic paint colours (Feu red, Comète grey and Platine grey), under the hood the Stepway features either a 1.6-litre 90hp petrol engine (7.6l/100km) or a 70hp dCi motor (5.3l/100km).

Deliveries on Dacia Sandero Stepway will start from September, but it’s rumored that you’ll have to get in line starting from July! We don’t have a price for it yet, but do you like it?

New Dacia Logan and Probably a Hatchback, too

Since it wasn’t featured on Car Blog until now, you may not know what a Logan is but rest assured I’m here to tell you. It’s Dacia’s best selling model. Oh you don’t know what Dacia is, either? It’s a Romanian car manufacturer, currently a subsidiary of Renault Group. Though the current Dacia Logan was criticised for its ugliness and gawkiness, it was a massive hit if we were to look at sales figures.

But we live in a world where the great car price is not enough and customers need beauty curves, too. It looks like Dacia understood and decided to work on the next Dacia Logan. They are even focused on a hatchback (Dacia Sandero) version that was spotted in Romania a few days ago.

My opinion is the sales will increase for Renault/Dacia when the new model comes to the market this year. What do you think about the new Logan?
