Mercedes is trying to win market on younger drivers with the new Mercedes-Benz CLC Coupe they’ve just released during the show in Geneva. Remember the CLC sketches we’ve shown last month and the CLC SportCoupe announced?
Just as expected it’s a very stylish modern vehicle that draws heavily from the CL-class coupe and the new C-class, with climate control and sport seats as standard. It has a restyled front and rear end, uses the CLC 200 KOMPRESSOR engine that develops 184 hp which is a 20 hp increase and has a reduced combined fuel consumption down 0.7L to 7.8L/100km.
Obviously you can get it with a sports pack that includes 18-inch alloy wheels and low profile tires, sport suspension and the new Mercedes direct-steer system. More versions will be available with different kind of engines to power it but the one that you can drive the most is the new CLC 200 CDI that does from 5.8L to 6.1L/100km. Sounds like a deal.

I told you yesterday that Mercedes Benz CLC (yes SportCoupe) is going live and I gave you some specs. Since this isn’t a complete redesign, using the old C-class platform, the future buyers may not be happy, and if you think that’s not a hatchback nor a sedan, it could be worse.Anyways, a few sketches leaked on CarScoop today and rumors say these may be the sketches that didn’t got the Benz approval. I think some of them were better, but who am I with all those manager from the German company?
What do you guys think? Here are a few of them.

The official announcement came in and a new Mercedes Benz CLC (SportCoupe) is ready to be released. It has the same C-class radiator grille we’re used with and the big Mercedes logo on it, new projection-beam headlamps, a new rear bumper and third brake LED light.

It’s obvious that the first thing you look at is the exterior and the new Mercedes Benz CLC has a lot to get your attention, but what about under the hood? The specs include a 4-cylinder or a 6-cylinder engine that have from 122 hp up to 272 hp, a six-speed manual transmission for all models while the 7G-Tronic seven-speed transmission is optional for the V6 models.
If it’s fuel consumption you’re interested in then you should know that CLC 200 KOMPRESSOR that outputs 184hp is 30mpg for the gas engine and 40mpg for the diesel version.
On the interior you get three infotainment units with color display, twin tuner, speed-sensitive volume control and Bluetooth mobile phone interface. The Merceds CLC is also the proud owner the new Audio 50 APS and COMMAND APS units and the LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system for your cellphone, audio and navigation.
