I personally feel that saloons like the Mercedes CL W216 seldom need an exterior body trim but even then, breaking the monotonous look is justified at times. The Type-R’s grip is upgraded with the adoption of 18-inch Sports TS06 alloy rims wrapped in Bridgestone POTENZA tyres (255/35 R18 Front – 225/40 R18 Rear) along with a new suspension from Endless ZEAL / Function X. Braking power is enhanced Endless 6-pot calipers on the front axle.
