GM is likely to launch an entry-level Cadillac by the end of 2012 or in the early quarter of 2013. The car may be called Cadillac ATS when it is launched and GM has plans to invest over $190 million in their Lansing Grand River assembly plant for the production of the proposed model.

It seems BMW is out there in the cold with all its latest bimmer model from the M3 and M5 to the latest catch, the 2012 BMW 3-Series F30. Spy photographers caught a glimpse of the 2012 model in the northern part of Scandinavia at a BMW facility close to a frozen lake.

BMW has been testing the compact commuter in the cold for more than a month and spy shots have poured in relentlessly. The latest set of images reveals the LEDs on the rear and a roofline which meets the backend at a steeper angle than the present generation model. The elongated wheelbase and a bigger body talks though remain a speculation and images do not confirm the changes apparently. The engine speculations for the 2012 BMW 3-Series F30 include a petrol-powered four-cylinder turbo and a hybrid unit. There may also be a smaller twin-turbo six-cylinder power unit I the works for the best selling bimmer. [via WCF]

The 2010 BMW 3-Series Convertible is supposed to arrive at the Frankfurt Motor Show and prior to the facelifted model getting showcased, the spy photographers did manage to click it again. Interestingly the convertible was still camouflaged at the front end signifying that BMW is coming up with something phenomenal. The known changes about the car include a new front bumper, fresh headlamps, LED lighting on the rear as well as a new rear bumper. Very little is known about what will be under the hood and the speculations is that a new 2.0 liter EfficientDynamics diesel engine that puts out 163hp and consumes 4.1litres for every 100kilometres will probably be there. Some friends of ours from a BMW fan site got in their hands the brochure for the new BMW 3 series that will come out next year. This brochure contains the makeover and new looks that out car got.

It seems the front bumper was redesigned and got the reshaped kidney grilles, resculpted hood lines, redesigned front headlamps and taillamps. The insides got a few subtle trims here and there and it seems that we will get iDrive as an optional asset. Nothing new for the engines except for a few tweaks at the fuel efficiency and other departments.
All these changes don’t do it for me, I need something that stands out as something new to the Bimmer. Call me crazy.

BMW has been selling the 3-series for over four years now. The results have been great with more than 96,000 units being sold in the US in the first year. However it was time for a new facelift (and many of us asked for it) and LehmannPhotoSyndication our best source for spyshots managed to get this one too.
This is how the new BMW 3-series is going to look, with a new rear end that has LED taillights, a newly designed engine hood and front grille, and “angel eyes” as the most important changes. Rumors have been speculating that it may also feature the 2.0L turbocharged 204 bhp diesel engine. I can only be happy about it.
