With Geneva just around the corner,next week is going to be awesome. And to prove my point check out the 2009 BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo. Based on an BMW M7, the car is a great mix of power and lux. With a powerful twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V8 engine that sports 507 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, it’s supposed to reach 60mph in 4.7 seconds and peaks (electronically) at 173 mph (that’s 280km/h). Although we don’t have all the details, we’re expecting it to hit the floors with an aggressive design, uprated brakes, suspension components and a reworked interior for a comfortable ride. If you love the way the BMW 7 Series look, then we have good news. Alpina released its latest sketch of how the new BMW Alpina B7 should look and we have to agree it’s pretty daring. There aren’t any official details on what’s under the hood of that beauty but I can certainly count on improvements from the current B7 which include a 500hp engine, a Valvetronic system, a radial supercharger and 4.8 seconds to hit 60 mph. There are also some 21-inch wheels and a special suspension for better stability, but we’ll have to wait till Chicago or Geneva, next year, to get more details. [via bmwblog]
