Porsche Tuning house 9ff plans a GT9-R Convertible

9ff-gt9-r-convertible

You know when 9ff makes a resolution to manufacture something extraordinary out of the ‘extraordinary’; the auto fanatics are surely in for a treat. In this madness of enthusiasm it will only be some of those Arab sheiks that will benefit, but, we are still ready to celebrate. The word on the street is that 9ff is planning to build just three examples of a GT9-R without a roof — yes a convertible. And if you thought the Bugatti Veyron Targa will not find a topless monster challenging its 1000+ horses that make the car fly at 250mph, you were probably wrong. Since 9ff will only spin off three of these supercars, I am more than certain that Buggati will feel the heat and probably even melt down. [via Autoblog]

Expert Porsche Tuner 9ff has revealed the details of the Porsche Panamera performance package. The styling kit includes a new front bumper to optimize air flow, a new front lip, redesigned side skirts and a new rear bumper. A large rear diffuser is bordered by four tailpipes two on each side. Under the hood there are rendered three different options with the basic one being the 9ffPT-55 capable of churning 550 hp and 760Nm of peak torque. The second option is the 9ffPT-60 which produces 600hp and 800Nm of torque and the top most variant is the 9ffPT-65 which grinds a whopping 650 horses at 850Nm of torque courtesy of the ECU upgrades. 9FF’s 1300hp Porsche 911 Based Draxster

The title IS right. Based on the drag-race 911, that’s the 1300 hp DraXster that those wicked tuners from 9FF managed to turn into a monster. Lightened to 1168kg and powered by a 4.0 twin-turbo engine, it’s supposed to reach 161mph (260km/h) in just 9.5 seconds, which makes it faster than the Bugatti Veyron. There aren’t many design changes, but simply looking at how mean that white thing is, I’m sure the price is out of our range even for the wealthiest of us. Would you love to spin it at least once on the track? [via MotorAuthority]

9FF GT9 almost breaks world speed record : 409 km/h

9ff GT9

The current world record speed for the fastest production car was set by the SSC Ultimate Aero that topped at 255.83 mph which is 411.71 km/h. Recently the 9FF engineers tried to beat that with their modified GT9 but couldn’t do it. They only managed to make it run at 409 km/h at a track in Papenburg on 10th April.

9FF’s GT9 was based on the Porsche 911 GT3, but lower and longer. The interesting part is that the car has the engine in the middle (not the rear) for better weight distribution. Now that I mentioned the engine, the beast outputs 987 bhp from a 4L flax six twin turbo and a six-speed transmission.
Though they couldn’t beat the world record, 9FF guys can stand proud because they managed to take on the Bugatti Veyron which topped at 407 km/h. The GT9 however, is not as fast as the Veyron : 0 – 60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
