Well how about we take a brake from hot cars and get our eyes on hot babes? The North American International Auto Show in Detroit was host to some of the most beautiful women to ever attend that kind of events. Just like Ferrari, McLaren or Toyota, Renault took the time to unveil their new 2009 R29 car for this year’s F1 Championship. Though the financial crisis got them too, the French managed to get a new sponsor – Total, who pumped some money for a new design that only needs to proves itself on the track. At the official presentation, Flavio Briatore got Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet to pull the cover off of the yellow beast and to pose together. Do you think they have a chance for 2009?

Toyota has balls. They’ve just released the new TF109 car for the 2009 Formula 1 Championship, online. I’m no marketing guru but isn’t it a smaller crowd to show off, rather than doing it offline with a lot of press that would write their articles in web-based magazines, too? With all the bad stuff involved with the financial crisis, rumors have it that unless the Japanese automaker won’t prove themselves (the whole team that is, including Jarno Truli, Timo Glock and Kamui Kobayashi) this could be Toyota’s last year in Formula 1. The car looks sleek, though. Isn’t it?

It’s obvious that the South Koreans from Kia are doing their best to make it the right way. After the great success with Kia Ceed, the guys are going to release a new model dubbed the 2009 Kia Forte.

Main focus is on fuel efficiency considering the high gas (oil) prices, but I’ll have to be honest though it’s not for the racetrack, they really did a good job with the design. As for what’s under the hood, the 124 hp 1.6 liter engine will be offered as standard while the 2.0L versions will come later.

Kia also has great expectations. They estimated (more like .. wish) to sell some 30,000 units this year and up to 250,000 units in 2010. The biggest factor to these figures are the prices which start at ~$11,300 and top up at $18,300. Main competitors for the 2009 Kia Forte are Hyundai Avante, the Renault SM3 or the GM Daewoo Lacetti.
