Vauxhall hopes that the Adam will beat the likes of its competitors MINI and the Fiat 500, with its unique stylish design and lots of hi-tech gadgets found inside the car.
The Adam was officially unveiled at the Paris motor show in September 2011 and will drive into UK showrooms in January 2013. Adam and its unique design offer over one million, (yes one million) different styling combinations to choose from. Vauxhall have said.“It’s truly a new kind of car!”
Vauxhall have designed three different trims for their launch:
• JAM (fashionable/colourful)
• GLAM (elegant/sophisticated)
• SLAM(racy/sporty)
Adam is a classy, sophisticated, three door car, which unlike its rivals bucks its design to be retro. It appeals to free thinking individuals who like things that are different, striking and quirky to other cars.

According to AutoGuide.com, a Need For Speed movie will be arriving in theatres in February 2014, in the U.S. at least. It’s been three months since the movie, based on the popular driving game, was officially announced and now an exact release date of 7th February has been revealed.

DreamWorks Studios will be creating the film based on the popular Electronic Arts virtual driving games and will be released by Disney, while Scott Waugh of Act of Valor fame will be tasked with directing it.
As we mentioned before, George and John Gatins developed the original story for the flick and John will be co-producing the movie with Mark Sourian.

On the 11th July, a team of students from The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Cape Speed headed off to the UK where they will be competing against 110 teams from around the world with their very own formula built car for the Formula Student Cup.
South Africans can show their support for the Cape Speed team by powering a real-time Silverstone Scalextric race track with the replica car around the race track using the power of social networking, namely Twitter and Facebook. The digital agency behind this campaign Saatchi & Saatchi’s AtPlay decided to combine the fun of a Scalextric model and the best of social media. Now you can get in the driver’s seat and take your own lap around a race track.

Motorcycle racer Riccardo Russo held a three-bike lead over his nearest racer at the CIV motorcycle racing championship, but when he started the final lap, he thought he had already crossed the finish line and won.
Unfortunately for him, he was wrong. Russo began celebrating his victory by raising his body off the bike and pumping his arms in the air clearly happy and relieved. While his competitors simply zoom passed him the top of the screen visibly reads ‘Final Lap’.
It’s a little painful to watch but worth it for the tight fight to the finish among the other racers.
The moment was caught on camera and uploaded onto YouTube by MotorsTelevision.
