Toyota is eyeing the European MPV market with the new hatchback that has been spruced up with IQ-inspired styling and flexible interiors.

The company is sticking to its philosophy of going green too with two new hybrid models set to be launched alongside the Verso. It will introduce the Prius Plug-in Hybrid and the Auris HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive) as part of this initiative.

Toyota has also lined up a few other treats for the show, including an updated iQ, an interactive Hybrid Synergy Drive Gallery and the FT-CH concept, which as you all know, originally made its debut at the 2010 North American International Auto Show.

The photo reveals that the headlights have changed – no more bulging headlights as are seen on the current Passat. The lenses also look a little different from the earlier sneak picture  we all saw.

The grille is flat horizontal, fog lights are redesigned, the bumper looks like it’s been remodeled, as do the sidesills and side panels.

Speculation is rife that there will definitely be interior changes that will use upgraded materials, give the vehicle a different instrument cluster, and also a new multifunction steering wheel.

The car is expected to come out as a sedan and a station wagon, and will possibly be out in the European market by November. The run up to the Paris Motor Show, which begins on September 30, will definitely bring out more details.

One interesting aspect about these pictures is that one of them is a shot of the interiors caught on cam for the first time.

The BMW M5F10 is likely to be offered with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 from the X5 M / X6 M. What we get to learn is that it will be tuned to produce up to 592 hp (441 kW / 600 PS) instead of 547 hp (408 kW / 555 PS).

Going by the pictures, the car will sport a key fob perched in the space on the center console, between the two cup holders.  BMW is likely to bring the car for show at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, where it will make its debut. More pictures below:

The car will be driving in with some minor styling changes which include revised headlights with a blue surround, clear rear lights, new grille, revised bumpers and a chrome tailgate garnish.

It will also be available in a range of existing colours plus a bespoke Lime Green metallic. Inside, the cabin has a fresh look with darker dashboard, which contrasts strongly with the blue lighting of the dials and dashboard instruments. There is also optional leather upholstery.

The car will feature the same engine as the Honda Insight; a 1.3-litre i-VTEC engine combined with a CVT gearbox, with an electric motor sandwiched between the two. The car will be capable of running on the electric motor alone under some medium and low speed conditions. The hybrid version will go on sale in the UK in early 2011.

The Lotus Evora S, from what we get to garner, is a supercharged 2+2 that will get showcased at Paris alongside the Evora automatic version that sports a dual-clutch gearbox.  It has been confirmed that the Lotus Evora S and Evora Auto will see the wraps lifted off them at Paris.

From what we see from the spy cam pictures, the Lotus Evora S could well be one of those super cars that would sail on performance tires blended around lightweight wheels.  It is being speculated that the car’s supercharger will pump in added performance levels to the 3.5-liter V6 engine  incorporated under the hood.

The new Saab 9-4X will come sporting a 7″ dash, a console-mounted ignition, and egg-crate air vents. To be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 245 hp (183 kW / 248 PS) and a turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 with 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS), the car is expected to come with capabilities to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and have a top speed of 250 km/h. Not many details are available right now, though. However, it is speculated that the car might roll out into US dealerships by early spring.

The XJ Sentinel, as the vehicle has been christened, would be sold with a full three-year 50,000 mile factory warranty, plus comprehensive after-sales support.  Tipped as the ultimate armored luxury limousine, the XJ Sentinel would target governments, security organizations and private individuals who look for high levels of security. The limo is made charming with the use of advanced design, refined performance and a good looking cabin.

The vehicle also boasts of a lightweight aluminium body structure, which makes it possible for a pretty 500kg payload for passengers and luggage without compromising on performance. Powered by a responsive 5.0-litre 385PS AJ-V8 Gen III naturally aspirated direct-injection V8 petrol engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle boasts of a powertrain that ensures swift and agile performance. The car is capable of racing from 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds, with a top speed of 195km/h.

The car which can seat three passengers, two up front and a third person who can sit behind (unlike the Gordon Murray T.25′s three-seater arrangement which has two passengers either side of the driver), is just around the same length as a Toyota IQ at about 3 meters. Additional information on the Kia Pop is expected to be released at the motor show which starts on September 30. We are just as eager as you are to know more about this cute looking Pop.

The Continental Flying Spur Arabia which is designed with an elegant 14-spoke diamond alloy wheel has Bentley’s highly acclaimed W12, 6-litre engine and is capable of achieving a top speed of 312 km/h and sprints to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Its twin turbo engine comes with 552 bhp (412kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. The Continental Flying Spur Speed Arabia is equipped with bright silver, 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels which are also compatible with optional carbon ceramic brakes. Its W12 engine offers 600 bhp (610 ps, 449 kW) with 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. It will drive from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 322 km/h.
To add to comfort, it includes ventilated seats that can cool or warm passengers. Both cars are further distinguished by an exterior front fender badge, tread plate and ashtray lid badge – all bearing the Arabia signature.

Saab was on the brink of a virtual collapse late last year, when it was saved by Spyker after it came in as a potential buyer of the brand from General Motors. Since then there had been rumors of a Saab comeback into the rally. According to sources, senior officials from Spyker have already met with the rally’s organizers – and they are expected to go into the next round of talks at the Rally of France in October.

It has been reported that the initial meeting between Saab and WRC officials, and also the FIA commissions and promoter North One Sport, has already happened and there’s a huge amount of enthusiasm from all concerned. Like MINI, Saab has a great heritage in the sport and a return to the WRC is seen as a sensible move.

If Saab makes it to the rally, the car models to be used will be 9-1 or 9-2. Most Probably Saab will be using the BMW 1.6L engine which has been made for the MINI team.
