Can you imagine that for some people, simply owning a Lamborghini Gallardo is not enough? That seems to be the case with this guy who’s showing off with a custom bike (bearing the Lambo moniker) and a custom trailer to carry it around town. So if we’re to make the math, it’s $250k for the car, some $150k for the bike and another $10k for the trailer — a total of $410k, just to be seen. Not bad, eh?

Tata Nano impressesed with its inexpensive price tag in India which made it cheapest car in the world, but over the other side of the globe, in the US, Nano will not be able to stick to its cost effectiveness. The obvious reason is that the Nano will need to undergo a number of changes to become drivable on American roads — like we mentioned last time. It will require a longer front end and even the engine will have to be upgraded to match the emission standards. On the inside, Tata Nano will require airbags, changed seats, sturdier roofing and an improved steering wheel.
The car did meet the crash test standards in Europe but the specifications are slightly different in the US. Tata Nano which has already been showcased at the Detroit Auto Show costs a modest $2500 in India but with all these changes incorporated, it will hit the $8,000 mark or may be even more.
Today we caught wind that Toyota is addressing all those recent runway incidents and will be installing brake override systems on their cars by the end of 2010. How does that translate to English? It looks like the system will force the car engine into idle mode if braking sensors sense that the driver is trying to apply the brakes without success. First to go with the change are the Lexus ES350 and Toyota Camry models, with installation begining this month. These efforts by Toyota follows on the heels of a huge 3.8 million vehicle recall to reshape and replace accelerator pedals. [via Autoblog]

Although we’re filing this under “don’t do this at home” here’s a guy trying to lose the cops in a highway car chase. Little horsepower but definitely great skills, don’t you think? Looks like something depicted from a Grand Theft Auto game …
The 2010 Mercedes E-Class W212 Sedan has just got better looks thanks to a new styling kit by German tuners Autotechnik + Tuning (ATT) that promises to bring the “pleasant original deluxe-sportster” looks that would take your eyes away with its aerodynamic changes. Speaking of changes it brings new spoilers at the front and back, front grill (that we don’t buy in, with the empty circle), and side skirts, with exhaust pipes hidden under the rear spoiler, for €6,452. On top of that, for another €3,869 you’re getting new 9×20″ or 10.5×20″ alloy wheels (that we don’t buy in) and Hankook S1 EVO high performance tires. A bit too much, don’t you think …
The new 2011 Suzuki Swift model has been spotted while tested in rain conditions in Germany. The car is still heavily covered to mask its new design, but we managed to get a snitch and other than those new tail lgihts, it looks like the car has been rounded up since its last appearance, which seems to suit it from what can be seen.
Suzuki Swift is sold in various countries around the world, and the engines under the hood vary, with the most appealing model, the 1.6-litre version outputs 125 hp and 148 Nm of torque. The vehicle uses a five-speed transmission system and has a front wheel drive (although an AWD model that’s exclusive for Japan, exists).
On top of these all, after seeing the Swift Plug-in Hybrid Concept, there are some strong rumors going around that the car may be a full production hybrid. Not bad eh? [via WCF]
