Watch one of the latest videos from Chris Harris as he takes the Lotus Exige S for a track test.
“Despite difficulties in deciphering anything tangible within the madness of new racing cars and bizarre road car strategies over the past two years”, says Harris, Lotus makes some of the best sports cars in the world, when it has the time and money to do so. And so Harris decides to put all negative thoughts behind him and visit the home of Lotus at Hethel to test drive the Exige S, arguably one of the best Lotus road cars ever made.
The Exige S is the Exige with a different back end on it, new rear suspension, modified chassis and body and fitted with an Evora S powertrain, the super charged Toyota motor with 350 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

Following the announcement of a limited production run of its Juke-R supercar crossover, Nissan has also released a new video online to promote the new vehicle. The short film entitled “Desert Nemesis”, is of the Nissan Juke-R racing against a Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes SLS AMG and Ferrari 458 Italia in the streets of Dubai with Lucas Ordonez behind the wheel.
Available on a built-to-order basis, Nissan is promising that the new Juke-Rs will be even more powerful than the original concept car. The Juke-R concept accelerated from 0-100 kph in 3.7 seconds reaching a top speed of 57kph. However, the new Juke-Rs will feature the upgraded drivetrain and chassis of the model year 2012 GT-R which packs 545 hp (406 kW / 553 PS) and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque.

Bugatti has created and released the official promotional video of its new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse – the world’s fastest production convertible.
According to Bugatti, its latest supercar will jump from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and pass a speed of 124mph (that’s almost 200km) in 7.1 seconds. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 255mph – that’s just 13 mph shy of the world record breaking Veyron Super Sport’s Vmax.
This is not entirely surprising considering that the Vitesse received the same engine tuning as the Veyron Super Sport which means an an 8.0-litre, quad-turbo W-16 engine good for 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. The standard Grand Sport chassis has been reinforced to cope with the additional power, which comes courtesy of larger turbos.
The new face-lifted R8 both in a coupe and convertible version is expected to be unveiled later this year, most likely at the Paris Auto Show in September. This means it is likely to hit all showrooms at the end of 2012, making it a 2013 model.
With a completely brand new model due out in a couple of years, Audi is keeping the changes to the current R8 at a minimum. Designers have appeared to have made only minor tweaks to the exterior of the car which is expected for the interior as well.
The biggest and most apparent change to the R8 is at the front, which adopts a new bumper and revised headlights. All-LED elements can be seen in the headlight unit, and the overall shape of the lights appear to feature a sharper look similar to what was seen on the 2010 e-tron Spyder concept.
BMW, that will be chopping the top off its i8 hybrid for the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, has recently revealed some images of the new convertible i8 Spyder supercar a few weeks ahead of the official unveiling in China.
It’s a sign that Munich will offer a convertible i8 alongside the tin-top coupe when BMW i8 sales kick off in 2014. The convertible will sport a two-section folding back roof, converting the coupe into the roadster in just a few seconds.
The i8 cabrio gives a few pointers to the likely format of the production cars. The Spyder has a slightly shorter wheelbase and overall length, suggesting that showroom i8s will be more compact than the concepts seen so far.
After falling just short of its goal of adding 2,013 fans in 2,013 minutes, and then falling just short of its goal of 300 shares on a Facebook status update, DriveSRT has chosen to release yet another teaser, its third so far, for the 2013 SRT Viper.
This time however the teaser revealed on Facebook give a sneak peek of what the interior of the vehicle will look like. It doesn’t give much away at all, but the images showcase a car that looks far more polished, high-tech and supercar-like than anything seen before.
It also reveals that the vehicle will be equipped with a stick shift instead of paddle-shifters.
