Ford’s legendary Mustang is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary today. The Mustang was launched in 1964 and is one of those car’s that completely encompasses American culture and of course, the rise of Ford.

Of course, in celebrating 50 years of Mustang, some interesting anecdotes and stories are bound to come out of the woodworks. One such story, is this one; the first Mustang ever sold – to a 22-year old (female) teacher from Illinois.

Gail Wise had just finished college in 1964, and had landed herself a job as a Grade 3 teacher. To get to and from work, Gail had to buy a car and with the help of her parents, set out to their local Ford dealership. (more…)

One would never really think of associating auto motives, and especially what they can do, with high-fashion or sought after art. Sure, there will be the occasional collaboration between Versace and Lamborghini or Nissan and Zac Posen – but never has there been a car to (literally) leave it’s mark on fashion.

Well, that is exactly what Mercedes AMG is doing. In a rather unusual fashion statement, Mercedes AMG is using burnout marks to sell handbags, t-shirts, briefcases and other items. (more…)

Audi S4 Quatrro tackles the Polar Vortex

As you may of heard, North America’s mid-west is basically Antartica right now. Temperatures are way below zero and the snow just keeps on coming.

Of course, with the immense amount of snowfall, and with the roads being covered and looking like some kind of icy white paradise, it must be real hard (if not impossible) to drive around.

Some places have reported more than 12 inches (that’s 30 centimeters!) of snowfall. This basically means you can’t moving anything that is engulfed in the snow. But one man, and obvious car fan, did the impossible; he took his Audi S4 Quatrro out for a day in the snow. And obviously its a challenge with the Quatrro being low on the ground.  (more…)

A filmmaker from Florida, Luke Aker produce this pure gold advertisement under his production company, Ikonik Productions. The ad is parody on new age car advertisements that accentuate every little feature of the car, in the most dramatic and epic way possible. (more…)

The New Port Beach Lamborghini dealership in California has just announced that they have sold their first car – a used Tesla Model S – to a customer who paid for the car using Bitcoins.  (more…)

Aston Martin Vantage V12 vs Vantage GT 4

The popular Drive channel on YouTube is back with another thrilling episode full of pricey, spicy and fast automobiles.

This week, they take  one of the world’s most beloved super car brands (and also James Bond’s preferred ride), Aston Martin, and pit two different models against each other.

Two drivers take on the road to establish whether a Aston Martin Vantage V12 or Aston Martin Vantage GT 4 is the best.

with the V12 being called the ‘ultimate hot rod’ and the GT 4 labelled as a ‘gentleman’s race car’ it’s really interesting to see which Martin fares better.

‘Tuned’ Season Premier

Drive Channel

The Drive channel on YouTube, the one that brings you the crazy and super entertaining series like Chris Harris on Cars, has launched a new series called ‘Tuned’.

Tuned, as you can expect from the name, will feature tuned cars in various shapes and sizes.

The first episode, which made it’s debut yesterday, features a Subaru WRX Coupe. One of the more popular upgrades for this car is a R-STi drivetrain swap. In this episode of Tuned, the guys pit a R-STi drivetrain swap (JDM) against a USDM drivetrain swap.

The point of the matter? To figure out which method works better!
