Rolls Royce’s new hood ornaments

Luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce has recently introduced three new hood ornaments.

The iconic flying lady that is positioned proudly on the hood of every Rolls-Royce will now be available in an illuminated polycarbonate version that first made an appearance on the 101EX concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006.

The illuminated flying ladies are available for the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Ghost from the 2013 model year.

SeriousHP releases Turbo Kit for the Ferrari Modena

SeriousHP, a performance store known for their +1500 RWHP Supra, has just released a Turbo Kit for the Ferrari Modena. As a result, the supercar originally rated at 300 RWHP is now producing a solid 650 RWHP on pump gas.

To reach this level of performance the Ferrari has been fully reinforced, the main modifications of which include an engine that has been fully equipped with forged internals, a 67-66 Precision Turbo, upgraded fuel system, reinforced transmission and new Pro-Efi engine management equipped with multiple engine protection systems to avoid engine failures.

Under the Kahn expedition vehicles umbrella, the black Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.6 (petrol 4 door) Chelsea Truck Company CJ400 Expedition vehicle further expands the iconic brand’s reach.

The use of immaculate materials and outstanding build technology is outstanding. An aerodynamically efficient exterior package consists of brake calipers finished in liquid red, side wing blades in carbon, horizontal LED daytime running lights, door entry sill plates in stainless steel, smoked rear lights and headlamps, exterior Kahn enamel wing shields, exterior Kahn enamel tailgate logo, privacy tinted glass, fuel filler cap in smoked black, tron ring lighting, vented foot pedals in machined aluminum, optional crosshair headlamps, mud flaps (toughened rubber – set of 4), and Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover.

The Rogue Rally road trip: Enter Now!

The Rogue Rally is a road trip that will cover more than 2500 kilometres of South Africa’s best roads.

A long the way the supercars will encounter special stages and events that will give owners the opportunity to enjoy the cars as the designers intended them to be used.

This is the first call for entries, 25 places have already been booked and there are 25 places still available. Ticket prices are R 47 500.00 but are valued well over R120 000 and a supercar is mandatory for entry. To date we have confirmed a large number of cars including a Ferrari Scaglietti 612, 2 x McLaren MP4-12Cs, a special edition Nissan GT-R, an Aston Martin Vanquish, a Mercedes Benz SLS , Lamborghini Aventador, Ford Shelby GT500 and a Porsche 911 Turbo to name a few.

A. Kahn’s RS250 Evoque Vesuvius Edition

Having been modified by A. Kahn Designs, this Range Rover Evoque is transformed into something unique – the RS250 Evoque Vesuvius Edition.

The black body contrasting against the “Vesuvius” matte orange roof and bonnet stripe complete with the Kahn lettering on the bonnet’s leading edge, ensures that this vehicle attracts attention with its bespoke and luxury status.

Enhancements include a front bumper replacement with integrated vents complete with 3D mesh inserts, front bumper grille inner in matte black, side vent surrounds in matte black, LED day time running lights for the front bumper vents, painted bonnet stripe, rear bumper replacement with integrated vents, brake calipers finished in Vesuvius orange, front bumper mesh in matte black, front headlight detail in copper, side vent inserts in copper, front bumper replacement fog lamps, wheel arch trims and side sills in body colour, front bumper centre section graphic in matte black, front grille outer section in body colour, painted floating roof and side sill trim in body colour.

Centered round a radical design and interconnected in order to coalesce design and engineering expression is the  cross hair exhaust system.

Tourism Radio launches Renault R-Link audio travel guide app

Founded in Cape Town in 2005, Tourism Radio, that provides location-based technology and travel content, was this year invited to Paris, France, to take part in Le Web, the premier internet and blogging expo in the world.

According to Le Web’s organisers, more than 50 billion electronic devices will be connected to the internet by the year 2020. If that number is too staggering to comprehend, try look at it from your own perspective: How many devices do you own that are connected to the web? Your Android smartphone? Your iPad? Your television? Possibly even your fridge? It’s only logical that your vehicle will follow suit, and that’s where Tourism Radio and French auto giant Renault come in.

Porsche enters 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013

Porsche has confirmed that its team, Porsche AG Team Manthey, will be competing in the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans, 10 years since it last competed back in 1998 where the team came out on top.

The team will compete in the GTE class with two new 911 RSR race cars, currently still in development,  joining Ferrari’s Italia sports car which currently dominates the class.

In addition, Porsche will also be entering the 2013 World Endurance Championship.

Speaking at the announcement of Porsche’s entry into Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship, Porsche boss Hartmut Kristen said, “The new 911 RSR is currently being developed by our engineers and tested by our works drivers, and what better time could there be to introduce the new car than the Porsche 911’s 50th anniversary.”

A. Kahn’s 2013 Range Rover Sport Mille Miglia Edition

Credited with making Alfa Romeo, BMW, Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche famous, the spirit and magic of the legendary Mille Miglia car race has been given the ultimate tribute by A. Kahn Designs who recently presented the The Defender Concept 17 Wide Body.

Sporting a uniquely Italian look, the Rosso Mondiale Mille Miglia edition was designed to fascinate and give fans a nostalgic reminder of what was one of the most famous road races in the world.
