Spy shots of the forthcoming Jaguar XE prototype are finally available. The test mule was caught on lens while doing some hot-weather testing. The car is likely to roll out during the first half of 2013.

The car that has its base on the Mercedes E-Class Convertible boasts smart engineering that brings to the fore a biturbo 6.3-liter V12 engine with 800 PS (588 kW / 788 hp) and an electronically-limited 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque.
