All you Mini fans out there, here we have something special for you. The company is reported to have approved the production of its Rocketman concept. The entry-level model comes up with a 3+1 seating arrangement, center-mounted exhaust and two-piece tailgate with a lower section that opens like a kitchen drawer.

As you know, Rocketman concept draws inspiration from the original 1959 Mini and measures a compact 3,419mm long, 1,907mm wide and 1,398mm tall. Further, it features a wraparound greenhouse, a glass roof (with optical illumination), LED headlights, projector-style taillights, and 18-inch lightweight wheels.
All set to be launched in 2014, the Rocketman concept is expected to offer a new range of three-cylinders. Is there any chance for an EV variant too?
