Following realization that Porsche’s current assembly plants in Zuffenhausen, near Stuttgart, and Leipzig are too small to meet their high demands, the company is now looking to start production from North America and China. The plan is aimed at hitting the predicted global sales of 200,000 units.

Saab will be launching the modified 9-5 SportCombi at the international Motor Show in Geneva. The model is a premium large wagon, which brings in all the essence and attributes of the renowned 9-5 sedan.

Ahead of deliveries beginning in 2012, the Tesla Model S Alpha has hit the road for the first time. Tesla will test the car in two phases – Alpha and Beta. Tesla had started the Alpha testing session in 2010 and will now rigorously test the car hereafter in different climatic conditions. Before the car reaches its customers Tesla will extensively test the vehicle using computer simulations and test vehicles.

Nissan has unveiled a racing edition of the GT-R called the NISMO GT-R RC (Racing Competition). It was launched at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon by the manufacturers’ in house tuner NISMO.

The much anticipated Audi Q3 is likely to be unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show. Well, no further details are available in this regard. The vehicle is expected to feature two engine options namely a 2.0-liter TFSI with 170 PS (125 kW / 168 hp) and 211 PS (155 kW / 208 hp) as well as a 2.0-liter with 170 PS (125 kW / 168 hp). Both will be mated to the usual transmission choices and C02 emissions are likely to range from 158 g/km to 184 g/km.
