With a 2011 BMW X3 huge mystery and the latest set of spy shots not revealing much either, we’re still drooling in here to see what the new model will look like. The exterior has been heavily camouflaged keeping those sleek lines a secret for now, but, they do give away the fact that it would be a heavily redesigned engine. As far as the interior is concerned the spy images reveal some dials and a start/stop button. The round rear lights are a façade for the prototype only since the final product will surely have something different. As far as the engine speculations go, the X3 will come with a 3.0-litre single turbo unit which is capable of churning 306 horses. Smaller engines may not be available straight away but they will eventually endorse the X3. [via WCF]

Churning 306 horses sounds pretty interesting. If 2009′s been a treat to car fanatics, I can’t quite picture what 2010 or even 2011 would be. It looks like we’re in for a surprise with this BMW X3…exciting!
