Just to revive your memory, Fisker Karma is the plug-in hybrid sedan from Fisker Automotive which was fist showcased at the Laguna Seca during the Pebble Beach Concours. At that point the fuel efficiency figures of the luxury plug-in hybrid were not available but now the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) do have the results for us. As per the SAE rating the Fisker Karma manages 67 miles per gallon which is pretty impressive.
The numbers look even better when you consider that the sedan churns 403 horsepower and sprints 0 to 60 mph in just 6 seconds. As far as the emissions are concerned the Karma is pretty neat, emitting 83 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The high efficiency numbers will not be a possibility when you intend to run the car on a performance mode, therefore a lot depends on your preferences as far as the efficiency is concerned. The Audi A6 C7 mule was caught testing in Romania — a local home for Audi’s Continental Engineering Centre. Consequently we presume that the Audi A6 test was more about engine and performance than anything else. The new A6 is slated for a release in January 2011 and once the engine is confirmed in Romania, it will then head to other parts of the world for different kind of tests before they finally roll it off the production facility. Not much is known about the A6 at the moment but it is common knowledge that the sedan will come with the next generation Aluminum Steel Space Frame which will bring down the weight of the car whilst making it rigid. The fuel consumption will also experience a decrease courtesy of the weight reduction.

The Revolte Concept from Citroen, a throwback to the 2CV, has been a matter of great confusion since no one is thoroughly sure whether it will ever make it to the production floor. The images of the concept have however broken cover and it looks like a premium sporting hatch which will borrow some traits from the Citroen DS3. At the front the small beast gets the updated Citroen grille, small headlights and a honeycomb lower face. The rear doors on the sporting hatch open rearward which maintain the C-shape form of the car at all times. We will have to wait until the Frankfurt Motor Show kicks off next week, before we know more. [via WCF]

A glimpse at the image gives you a good enough hint why Renault is going to charm the masses with the new Koleos White Edition. But there is more to it than a color change, like the Dynamique equipment level in a standard model. That measn Bluetooth capability, DVD navigation, a Bose sound system, a gloss black trim for the dashboard and a two-tone leather finish. On the outside you will find chrome skid plates, tinted glass for the rear windshield and a rear lip spoiler. Being a compact SUV, the alloy wheels are inevitable and hence the Koleos is equipped with 18-inch aluminum variants. The base model will be priced at €29,350. We’re droooooling!

Up until now there have been meager speculations that the Audi RS3 might debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, and today we might have reasons to think the rumor is true. If an Audi Dealer from Cape Town, South Africa, is to be believed, the unveiling of the new Audi RS3. 2.5L five-cylinder turbocharged engine with 4WD and 335bhp will be done on the floor in Frankfurt. Although Audi is still denying the whole deal by maintaining absolute silence about the future of the product, we tend to believe that September 17 is going to be the actual “release date” to the public. The Mercedes CLK 63 AMG was never a sports car in the real sense of the word. Enter the ardent Kicherer from Stockach and the entire scenario quickly changes, making it a worthy sports beast. So meet the Kicherer C63 Supersport, a car that gets a lot of carbon fiber right from the grille and front bumper to the mirror and engine cover.
The sides have been stylized more aggressively using bolder side sills, LED daytime driving lights, and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. Talk about power and Kicherer manages to produce 550 PS and 630 Nm of torque by simply removing the electronic limiters. To endure the increase in power, an adjustable coil over suspension has been added alongwith limited slip differential. Also, bigger wheels — 20-inch RS-1 forged — keep the car on the road in tandem with the Brembo braking system.

Alfa Romeo has finally started thinking about the environment and hence it will reveal the MiTo with a new lineage of engines that do its surroundings lesser harm. The MiTo will come with a 1.4-Liter MultiAir engine capable of producing 105 and 135hp. There will be a third variant, the 170 horsepower MultiAir Turbobenzinae, but this engine will be limited to the Quadrifoglio Verde, or Green Four-Leaf Clover.
All the engines commit improved fuel economy and lowered emissions while the top variant is also a bit of a speed devil. Mated to a six-speed transmission, the 170hp option hits 62mph in 7 seconds, which is reasonably fast considering the category the car belongs to. The suspension of the car is also a point worth discussing as it reduces vibrations, thanks to the combined efforts of Alfa Romeo and vehicle system developer, Magneti Marelli. The upgraded MiTo will probably invade the European market in a month’s time.

The Audi TT RS is a very capable machine — courtesy of the Audi Quattro technology — but ABT Sportsline begs to differ, hence why the companu has come up with their own version of the Quattro platform. ABT Sportsline has been in this business for fifty years so we have no other choice but to trust what they present. The wicked tuners have integrated the regular 5 cylinder engine with an air cooler and optimized the engine electronics to raise the power from 340 to 420hp. Because of that, the Abt Audi TT RS dashes from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds with an overall top-speed of 282km/h. We’re already drooling over driving one …
