The E 63 also has the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission from the SL 63 AMG. No more conventional torque converter. Instead there is a wet start-up clutch – Controlled Efficiency, Sport, and Manual. The manual allows the driver to change gears using paddles or the gear shift.
The E 63 AMG goes from 0 – 100km/h (62mph) in just 4.5 seconds. It is electronically limited at a speed of 250km/h (155mph). Stopping power is helped by the optional ceramic brakes. The car has lightweight forged 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels. There is a spoiler lip on the boot lid and a roller blind for the rear window. Nappa leather all around. AMG has a new speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering system for more direct responsiveness without compromising the day-to-day use of the car.
The spies have sent out a sneak peak of the replacement for the 147 in the Italian brand Alfa Romeo line up – an obstructed look at the upcoming Alfa Romeo Milano. The images popped up on Facebook, via a cellphone maybe? Doesn’t matter to Alfa Romeo fans. The new Milano looks a bit like the Alfa Romeo MiTo. It has oval headlights and a sharp hood. One can also see the Alfa 8C Competizione. Still the Milano does have its own distinct touches if you take a walk around back.

We also get a peek at the inside and see Alfa Romeo holding fast to its traditional cabin design of circular instrumentation panels evoking that Italian sports car aesthetic we’ve come to expect of the brand.
The Milano is to be built on the Fiat Group’s C and D platform. The car is expected to have a choice of several diesel and gasoline engines including the Fiat Group’s 1.4 liter TJet turbocharged (12o and 158 hp) engines. Can you also say 1.75 liter turbocharged and 200hp? The Milano will be out later this year or early next year.
The Zonda Cinque Roadster is the answer to unique, exclusive, one-of-a-kind, even exotic. The Roadster is a limited-edition, five-car model run. Zonda R is street-legal and almost identical to the hardtop. Its carbon-titanium chassis has been tweaked to make way for the removable roof. The Zonda Cinque Roadster has a mostly-open cabin, an engine air scoop sticking out above and the roof is stored up front.

The AMG engine bridles up 678 horses and 780 Nm torque. It has ceramic-coated titanium exhaust, traction control and a a Cima six-speed sequential transmission. The aluminum/magnesium wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero rubber with carbo-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers from Brembo. The Roadster’s curb weight is the same as the hardtop -1210kg and go from 0-100km in 3.4-seconds.
€1.3 million, plus taxes. Hurry! There are only five in production and they may already be sold out.
Europe will get to ride the Chevy Camaro. It seemst the 2010 US Camaro is off to an impressive start in the U.S.. Sold out! is the world despite the general economic downturn. GM has confirmed that the Camaro will be sold in Europe. Sale dates and prices are TBD.

In the U.S., the Camaro comes with a 304-horsepower 3.6 liter V6 or a 400 or 426-horsepower 6.2 liter V8. It hasn’t been determined which of the three will be heading to the Old Country.
GM will offer its fuel-saving Active Fuel Management n the 400-horse V8 version. Some Europeans will like the the Camaro because of its four-wheel independent suspension and stability control, not to mention it’s American handling.
The car starts at $23,040 for the V6 and $35,425 for the V8-powered. That’s about €16,400 and €25,215, respectively. GM hasn’t let on to the oversea’s price as of yet. [via WCF]

Most of us know exactly why a GPS device is an important part of our safe travel in unknown areas…but why do we buy a specific make or model? We have raised this with one of the top SA accident investigators and received this response:
“ The more important question is – and remains – do you want to use it primarily in the City, cross-country, between cities on National Roads, Off-road, etc.? Before choosing a GPS, establish YOUR needs, then shop after getting the best “pound-for-your-buck.” Also keep in mind that – with all the building going on for 2010, you will invariably get out-of-date routing errors. We have been using GPS for about 6 years now, on a daily basis. Like a computer, the user can also influence the effectiveness of the device.. So, FIRST your needs, THEN your wants (bluetooth, etc), THEN price, THEN “coolness.” My 10c worth…”
This is a concise but rather accurate summary of some of the aspects to consider when buying a GPS device.
The Arrive Alive website will assist our drivers further with a guide titled “GPS Navigation Technology and Buying a GPS Device”

Word is that Toyota plans to bring their mini-car — the Scion IQ, in the United States in a couple of years, more precisely early 2011. Although details are about the tiny IQ are scarce, what we know is that the car will be lowered by 1.5-inches (from the previewed version that debuted at the New York Auto Show earlier this year) and should come with a redesigned interior. As for what makes the wheels spin, it will probably be Toyota’s 67hp 1.0-liter petrol engine or the recently introduced 1.33-liter dual VVT-i with 98 horsies and 125 Nm of torque. Now that the new Audi A7 Sportback have failed the June 2009 deadline, Germans from Audi have decided that 2010 would be a much better year and postponed the new A7 Sportback release date. Rumored to hit the showroom floors at the end of 2010, the car will share some design elements with the new A5 Sportback but is obviously positioned higher than that.
Shaped like a coupe with a narrow window line and a coupe-like roof line, the A7 Sportback is unlike other sportcars as it features 7 (seven) doors. With powerful engines that include a 3.0-litre V6 used in the A6 and the S4/S5, as well as V8s, the new A7 Sportback is quite a competitor for high rollers like Mercedes-Benz CLS, the Porsche Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide. If your Panamera is not enough and you still have the cash even though the economy has been slashed lately, you could consider the high performance Porsche Panamera GTS that have just been announced. Positioned above the Panamera turbo, the new GTS version is rumored to boast 500+ hp and should fly to 60mph in less than 4.0 seconds. Other than that, the new Porsche Panamera GTS is also expected to lose the heavy air suspention system in the Turbo version and get those traditional coil springs. No info regarding the price or availability so you’d better keep an eye on the new GTS if you like it.
