Romania’s highway patrol got a few SEAT Leon Cupra for tests. Although the country doesn’t have roads for one to hit the pedal to the metal, it looks like a great new squad car that will make the “officers” feel like pilots instead of drivers. Powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine that churns 240 ponies, the car goes naught to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and tops at 274 km/h (at which it would probably disintegrate – road holes). One other thing that comes to my mind is … how capable are the Romania Police officers in handling such a monster. The new Leon Cupra is loaned till November …

If I were to own a BMW M3 and have the money to take it to the next level, it would probably be the new G-POWER M3 Tornado. A supercharger system for the already beefed up M3 engine, the 4.0 V8 engine is now outputting 500 hp (from 420 hp) and pumps 480 Nm (from 400 Nm) to the rear wheels. With such a behemoth under the hood, the tuned up bimmer gets to 200km/h in 13.5 seconds (down from 15.4 seconds) and tops a bit over 320 km/h. Looks “cute” eh?

Based on the Porsche Carrera GT, Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition has finally been released. With an eye for “air flow management”, the car’s front face comes with a front apron with air inlets for the front coolers and Gemballa’s own bonnet and front wings. There are alsoside skirts with integrated air inlets that cools down the brakes of this beast. Powered by a V10 engint the sports 670 hp and 630 Nm of torque, the new Mirage GT will fly to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, up to a top speed of 335km/h. Too bad that only 5 Mirage GT units will ever be built, and the price is steep; 298,000 euros. [via WCF]

Peugeot 5008– As much as we love new models coming on the market, if you’re a guy sitting on a pile of cash and need to decide on what to buy, it’s probably the hardest thing in the world. Check out the new Peugeot 5008, a new 7-seater compact MPV model that gives the feeling of space and openness. Mostly intended for families, the new 5008 features a head-up display, a distance alert system and Snow Motion technology for better traction on snowy surfaces.
The car is somehow roomy. It has a 4.53 meters long and 1.64 m tall, offers a panoramic glass roof, comes with a total cargo volume of 2506 liters and an 823 liters trunk. As for what’s under the hood, the new diesel engines got our attention. There are two light-sipping 1.6 liter HDi variants, and two new 2.0 liter HDi’s each with 150 and 163 bhp, respectively.
Not a bad choice eh?

Built as a “land yacht” (probably for those that are sea sick) the new Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is a supercar creation by Dutch students Emile Pop and Justin de Boer. We can’t say we love the name but the fact that we’re looking at the world’s first folding hardtop (20 seconds) four-door supercar is definitely alluring. Inspired by luxury yachts, the car doesn’t have any B-pillars. It’s rich in carbon fiber, aluminum and a lavish Alcantra interior to pamper your senses. Powered by a Corvette ZR1 powertrain that makes it capable of reacing 205 mph (and 186 in only 35 seconds), rumors have it that the new supercar will be priced at a whopping €257,000 each. We don’t know much about the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb on July 19, but we have a passion for fast cars. Cars that have something to say about themselves. And that beautiful orange Ford Fiesta is just the thing we needed. Customized by Sweden’s Olsberg Motor Sport Evolution team, the beast is powered by a high performance 2.0-liter Duratec engine that outputs more than 800 hp to an all-wheel drive system and a unique Rallycross sports suspension. A great example of perfect tuning, right? [via WCF]
