Priced somewhere close to $2,300, the Nano features all the basic necessities of motoring, including a 624 cc petrol engine with 33 horsepower, three exterior color choices, and a folding rear seat. The Renault Megane Estate Sport Tourer has enough engine size variations that everyone on a football team plus three girls on the sidelines cheering could drive a different sized engine – 14 in all! A 1.5l diesel dCi engine with 85-110 horses, all of which produce less than 130g CO2 per 100km and use between 4.4 and 4.8 liters of fuel in the process. That’s enough options to keep the treehuggers happy for a spell.

For those who don’t care about the environment, a 1.9 liter version with 130hp and 300Nm of torque is available. The boost comes from a curved blade turbocharger.

More? There are 150 and 160 hp, 2.0 liter versions as well as a 2.0 TCe, 180 hp, 300 Nm with twin-scroll turbo.

The driver and all passengers have each access thanks to headroom of 890mm. Legroom and elbow room galore, not to mention enough room to haul all that football team’s gear. Luggage space is 524 liters with rear seats up, and a whopping 1,595 liters with them down.

Available the end of June! [via WCF]

Summer is here and it’s time to take off our tops, or at least we might want some folk to go topless. For those of who would send a herd of buffalos in reverse if we showed up san shirt, the AC Schnitzer MINI Cooper R57 Cabriolet convertible is here and is more than able to zoom in and take our place.

This MINI Cooper offer 175 hp – 226(expert) rating. A slip differential, height adjustable sports suspension and aluminum strut brace up from gives more “go faster” umph. Enough to blow the top off perhaps. Several wheel and tire combinations, sport exhaust, chrome accents, front spoiler, sporty rear skirt and lots of decals give those on the sideline something else to look at.

A topless AC Schnitzer MINI Cooper R57 Cabriolet? Yeah! Beats anything I have to show without my top on. [via AutoSpies]

I have a friend who wants to have seven luxury cars, one for each day of the week. If his garages aren’t filled up yet, he might want to reserve a spot for the Jaguar C-Type that is coming back to compete with the Porsche Boxster and BMW ZZ4 and Mercedes SLK. India’s Tata Motors, the new owner of Jaguar wants to expand the Jaguar’s range. The roadster market is calling! XF styling, bold mesh grille, LED headlights, slim tail lights, bonnet power bulge and engines from entry-level 235hp 3.0l V6 to 380hp 5.0l V8. Add to that a 6-speed automatic and wheel-mounter paddles. And only – £40,000. I’ll take two of them. [via AutoExpress]

Volkswagen Amarok, Company's First Pick-up Truck

I used to drive a 1960 VW Bug. The car didn’t even have an fuel gauge in it. You drove it till it ran out of gas, pulled the lever on the reserve tank and hoped a gas station was nearby. VW sure has changed since that 1960 Bug. Enter the Volkswagen Amarok. It means “love stones.” Don’t think too hard about that. In Inuit Eskimo it means “wolf.” So, what are the Germans doing in Alaska looking for a name for their new truck? I don’t know, but I’d like to show this vehicle some love, wouldn’t you?
