Electric vehicles evolved. They’re now looking great and packed with muscles. Same goes with the new Cadillac Converj that has been unveiled at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. Though still a concept, the two doors coupe  uses Voltec technology (the former E-flex) with 16-kWh T-shaped lithium-ion batteries that offers a 40-mile range and only takes 3 hours to charge on a 240V and 8 hours on a 120V power source. But the Converj not only packs the electric engine, but also a four-cylinder gasoline engine-generator the recharges the batteries on the go. And last thing is about power. Would you expect 120 kW and a 273 lb-ft torque for such a car? It’s expected to hit in 2012 …
