Renault Revives Safrane

Introduced in 1992 instead of the famous Renault 25 and in operations till 2000, the French automakers decided to replace Safrane with the remarkable Vel Satis. But that didn’t affect sales as they expected, so now the company is thinking of reviving it as a mid-size luxury sedan but the news aren’t THAT great.

Apparently the new Renault Safrane is only going to be available in Gulf States like United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman,Kuwait and Qatar.

Suddenly we’re not so very impressed with this V6 powerplant anymore unless they give it a greenlight for either South Africa or Europe. And make it for a good price if you want us to buy it.

I think it looks fantastic. Surely if they stick a diesel engine from a laguna on it they can market it in UK? I’ve had 12 cars over the past 10 years and the best one of the lot was a 1999 Safrane executive, bring it back!
