Worked BMW M3 vs Bugatti Veyron

During our late last night chat, our friend Vincent from sent us this cool video link of an airstrip drag race between a Bugatti Veyron and a BMW M3 E92. Prior to the drag race (we hope you’re not seriously going to ask us who won), Dutch racing driver Ho-Pin Tung decided that he should warm up a bit the bimmers tires. And what smoky warm up that was!

Pimp my Ride beetle up for sale

Here’s one more “Pimp My Ride” project vehicle that’s up for sale. Gus, a reader of Carscoop, discovered Lawanna’s VW Bug that aired on MTV’s Pimp My Ride Show episode 414, on the Los Angeles area Craiglist. The seller –we don’t know for sure if it’s Lawanna, is asking a mere $40,000. Not bad at all for a rustbucket on wheels that was half-way to the scrapyard before Xzibit took over.

The VW Beetle’s theme was “Hair Force One” due to the fact that Lawanna was a hair stylist who was about to enter the air force. Among other things that the GAS crew did, was to install a sink with shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the front, as well as waterproof speakers and an iPod nano. Inside the car features a high-power hair dryer that got air via a scoop on the car’s roof.

Nissan 350Z Cobra kitted

The new Nissan 350Z Roadster starts into the new convertible season with some modifications. Cobra Technology & Lifestyle already offers a broad range of sporty COBRA N+ tuning components for the 2006 model. Of course most COBRA N+ options are also available for the modified 350Z coupe.

The facelift on the 350Z bodywork required the development of new COBRA N+ bodystyling components made from flexible PU-Rim in original equipment quality. The COBRA N+ front spoiler, which also fits on the coupe, not only lends the 350Z more passing prestige but also minimizes aerodynamic lift on the front axle. The front is further refined with a special COBRA N+ grate made from high-gloss stainless steel. Read the rest of this entry »

BMW power for all seasons

For BMW buyers who wish to soak in as much sun as possible this summer without losing the marque’s hallmark performance and handling, the company has an offering to fit the bill to a tee. The German auto maker is no stranger to engineering convertible cars of the highest quality, and after such icons as the 330Ci Cabriolet and the Z4, one might have wondered how such winning packages could be improved upon. However, in BMW AG’s typical perfectionist tradition, they have once again raised the bar with an extremely well engineered and desirable addition; the 335Ci Cabriolet. Read the rest of this entry »
