COVER68 Speed n Sound issue 68

Issue 69 of Speed and Sound magazine has been released and features a five page Zoopedup write up! Everyone at Zoopedup and Carblog would like to thank the folks at SNS for the awesome exposure!

Heres editor Chris Wall’s write up for the month

We’ve passed that corny “April Fool’s” time of the year and we’re heading into real record-breaking weather. There’s gonna be some sun to heat up the
drag strip and get the trackbite sticky along with some ice cold air to keep the cars cool. With all the new projects we’re seeing hitting the strip, it’s set to be a great time of the year. There’s a Honda and a pair of Opels in the 9′s and it looks like there’ll be a car or two joining them soon.

On the rearwheel drive front it seems there will be someone else hitting the 8-second bracket with a four cylinder, but I’m not gonna tell you anymore than that,
you’ll just have to wait and see. The cover car in this issue hails from KZN and as you already know, it’s a hot Subaru. It’s owned by well-known tuner Paul Riley so you can imagine what it’s been put together like. While we are primarily a drag racing publication, we’re seeing a continually growing number of people sorting out cars for open track days.

The Scooby is one such car, although it will also be pretty quick on the 400m. If you’re keen to see more about track stuff, drop me a mail to the usual krutch@speedandsound.co.za address. We have a feature from Chad (not the country, the SnS employee!) it’s a modded Mazda MX6. Yup, it’s a rare choice of car, but it looks damn sweet with the subtle body mods carried out on the car. It also runs pretty damn well too thanks to a worked V6 motor with a nice helping of laughing gas. I guess it’s only a matter of time before Chad follows suit (hook up that Zex feature!). We set up another shootout, we know you guys love seeing them. Unfortunately out of the six guys invited, only three pitched up.

Please send me details to subscribe to the Speed & Sound magazine. My son loves it- never has anything kept him so busy. He reads it the whole month,-over and over and over again.
